One sister
Fine ever since she moved out of the family home

Why like Grabec? Is this a survey or do you have a knob of a brother?

a) 3 Sisters, sadly one no longer with us.

b) Get on well, with my 2 younger sisters, but don't see them as often as I should.

No neither....it just occurred to me that of the people I know very few have much contact with their 'first' families even if they get on with them reasonably well. It's as if families don't matter any more.
Yet if you ever talk to someone who's been orphaned young or taken into care, they seem to have a lifelong sense of loss that they haven't a family. A bit anomalous, really

a. Yes, 3 sisters (one sadly deceased) and 7 brothers

b. Had a fantastic childhood, even if they did always make me goalie, spead all over the place now so only see them for hatch, match and despatch events.

I agree with you though, Grabec, what we've got, we take for granted.

Two sisters and one brother.

They are all very expensive and most conversation start with me hearing the words 'can you lend me.................'

I sincerely hope it wasnt your Paddy asking you that.  rolfl

I daren't even begin to think of the money he's borrowed off me. He did once pay me a tenner back but I suspect that was in the full knowledge of him intending to ask for a larger sum later the same day.

You've just reminded me, and to disprove my point a bit.....I used to work with a bloke from Belfast at erm an anonymous civil service office in London. Every few days we had to take a turn in the cash office which was more or less sealed off from the rest of the office and had its own phone...which Nick used to phone his Mam over the water and hear the gossip. As a result I ended up doing most of the work, but it was worth it to overhear the craic.
I got married while I was in that office....I remember Nick telling his Mam that the wedding was to take place the next w.e and she was full of horror.
'Ach the poor girl...and is that wise..?' etc etc

1) One older sister

2) Get om with her very well, but perhaps as importantly our lass does. In fact they're having a day out today with me mam.

I'm dead lucky in that most of my family are easy to get on with. My dad's uncles and aunts particularly are a scream but I rarely see them unfortunately.
