Which area does Mr Codyakker work in, then?
We've just had to stop our kid's lessons with BSM as they were too jet-settish and put her off altogether. Two-hour lessons, for heaven's sake, for complete beginners.
Any how, we're looking for an instructor who's a bit more user-friendly

Right, I will when she's ready to start again. But if he's Hartlepool-based, it's no good for us

Grabec, I also work in Peterlee and the surrounding villages as well as Billingham and Wynyard, if you're a bit further afield I can probably recommend some good instructors anyway.
My best advice, keep away from the 'nationals' and big local schools,BSM (Bring Some Money), AA, etc and keep away from any that advertise in the local papers, (ask yourself why they have to advertise ! ).
Give me a shout if I can help, my motto is 'Smile as you go with eL Passo' (Cheesy I know)
