...at the beginning of the season I began to realise that watching Pools had lost it's edge for me ... after years of organising my life and work around a fixture list and enjoying the sheer anticipation of going to a match, suddenly this season it was like someone had thrown a switch and the love affair was over, the thrill was gone. The wife was wondering what was up with me as this was most unusual, but I coudn't get my old enthusiam back and was baffled by this. Even going became a chore and the anticipation was gone...dried up!
I began to feel detached from the club, them suddenly people started talking like I was thinking, ....so it wasn't just me
Therefore, if there's a few of us feeling like this, the problems obvious. the damp detached fog of Wilsons leadership.

Ive felt like that for a while now, in fact i think i just go half the time for a few beers and to see the friends ive made supporting pools. If we win its a bonus but it certainly isnt all about the game.

I agree that the club is detatched but I don't agree that Wilson is to blame. The club has gradually become a closed shop over the past ten years - ask any journo - its premiership-itis.

I feel we aren't classed as fans, but as football consumers, the bond between club and supporters is now akin to the bond between a supermarket and it's loyal customers...you're a regular and you buy a 'product'... that's how it feels to me.

if we get relegated this season, then I'll only attend half a dozen or so games next season, most probably they'll all be away matches. I've got better things to spend money on than a football club which allows itself to be relegated twice in succession from League One, and did nothing about it when it had the chance - i.e. remove a hopeless manager much earlier in the season.
Many other people feel the same about this. If Pools don't survive this season, then I and many others won't accept it this time.

IOR make big play of the way they run the club like the rest of the businesses they own, which may be OK for certain aspects of the club, admin etc. However the team/ manager side cannot be run like a conventional business, you are constantly having to react at short notice to events, things cannot be left or delayed to see how they turn out.

I feel kinda let down. I certainly don't feel part of the family anymore. These feelings have been getting stronger as the season has progressed. Snowy's introduction is spot on.

I feel detached from the club.

Only a couple of players bother to clap the fans anymore. A small thing I know but the bond between players and fans is hanging by a thread and only the likes of Ben Clark, Joel Porter, Tony Sweeney and Ritchie Humphreys are making sure it doesn't completley go.

Yes all of those 4 players could be gone soon if Wilson gets his way.

The players slag the fans off and refuse to speak to the press.

This is my opinion, but the relationship built up between the fans and club has really soured since the arrival of Wilson and I am not referring to results alone. I perceive him as a distant figure who seems to have little rapport with the fans. It's as though his exclusive remit is with the team and the team alone, the fans being a necessary burden to be endured. But, those days are long gone, you need to take the fans on board and try and carry them along with you, the majority that is, the idea of expecting us to just accept things in a deferential manner are gone.
