It is ridiculous that if we win on Friday we go 6 points behind 6th place stpid

We aren't good/consistent enough to make the play-offs I'd delighted to be proved wrong but we still haven't won consecutive games since we won three in a row from the 2nd to 4th game of the season.

I think our fixture list for the last six weeks of the season will sort out any hopes of reaching the playoffs....it would be nice, but most improbable.

Stranger things have happened. Rarely, I admit, but inexplicable upswings in form do happen (as do inexplicable downswings of course).

We score goals. So it WILL happen if we stop conceding.
And I hear tell it's easier to shore up an ailing defence than an impotent attack.

I think Kev being slightly optimistic, but we do have 14 league games to go.

1990/91 Season 14 games to go..............won 10 drew 4 points won 34 finished season on 82 points, promotion gained.

IF WON SAME AMOUNT POINTS 34 between now and end of season we would have a total of 74 points, probably not enough for automatic promotion but JUST MAYBE enough to make play off's.

1999/00....season 14 games to go.....won 6 drew 5 lost 2.....23 points won.... play off's made

2000/01....season 14 games to go.....won 5 drew 6 lost 3.....21 points won.... play off's made

2001/02....season 14 games to go.....won 7 drew 4 lost 3.....25 points won ....play off's made

I think kev being optimistic but 1990/91 season shows you can never say never...................so lets all keep the dream alive. with those amounts of points won between now and end of season we could have between 61 and 74 the lowest would probably rule out play off's but the highest might just mean we can make one of the play off places on the last match of the season...............................

AND WE ALL KNOW POOLS' LIKE TO TAKE US TO THE LAST MATCH OF THE SEASON.

The difference between then and now was, we had a team up for it..... with this lot, you never know if Mr Jeckyll or Mr Hyde will turn up...THE ONLY THING CONSISTENT ABOUT POOLS THIS SEASON IS THEIR INCONSISTENCY....... and that's the problem!

I've even started to look at St Oswalds church tower and wonder how it was built during the match...... this is most worrying.
