Post subject: These so called Barker 'boo boys'

we keep reading headlines about them in the local press, who are they? I've haven't heard anyone boo Richard Barker at a game this season and I'm the majority of fans would tell anyone who did to shut the fook up. Yes I've heard the odd comment directed at Barker but I'm sure being the experienced pro that he is it's nothing he hasn't heard before and will just take it in his stride.

The only real criticism has been on message boards and the criticism in the main has been how Wilson has used Barker this season, at times this has over spilled into having a go at Barker himself.

Why do we keep reading these headlines!? He has never been booed.

It's clear they read every word but that's typed on these message boards that's where it must come from.

Hello Mr. Barker, you work very hard and score goals but your attempt on the cross bar challenge was pathetic.

I don't boo during the game, I only criticise or praise as applicable after a game. That's speaking for myself, but I would also like to know who these people think the boo boys are . I think they've misjudged people who are being pissed off on these message boards from time to time, as being people who also boo at football matches.
I have criticised the way we have played the ball up to Barker at times- and that's not his fault - it's the fault of his team mates. He also hasn't helped himself with some below average performances and at times he has struggled to keep up with the game, but he's not the main target of peoples' criticism anyway - it's the defence and the keepers who have been slated the most, and the main target has almost certainly been the manager. To a man, even Barker's critics have recognised that he gives 100% effort in a blue and white shirt, and he is a model pro.
