How many months since PK went to China?

Maybe you lot should start wondering why he felt he had to bugger off!

That's a bit harsh as well like.

If we had played Cheltenham away this time last season (i.e. during the promotion push) I wouldn't have gone either cos it's flaming miles away and buggers up the whole weekend for the wife if I do journeys like that.

Away games where you can be back home by about half 7 or 8 are ideal whatever the time of the season, any further and I'm only going if it's the run in to the end of the season and something to play for.

Fair do's Mr Mad.

For the record, I was at the Boston game last season but not the Swindon or Torquay matches.

I know what you mean about the motivation factor though. It is, rightly or wrongly, human nature to be more inclined to go and watch an away game if you think that you have a chance of winning it.

i'll be there with poolieineastlondon. There's rail disruption around swindon so rather than have to get a replacment bus service we are going from Euston via Birmingham sctatchinghead

Seemed a good idea at the time!

I'd definitely have been there tomorrow - but unfortunately I can't arrange cover for my night shift at work!!! Starting at 7 pm.Nobody willig to stay back until 10-ish either. Not surprising considering we work 12 hour shifts, and most folk want to be on the lash Saturday night

Apologies Ripper, that wasn't meant to be a pop at anyone. But you know what I mean. A losing team makes arguments like "it's a long way", "i'm a little bit short of cash", "it's difficult to organise at work" a lot easier for people to fall back on, and even convince themselves with. If the team was winning then more people would find a way of getting there, simple as that.

This time last year we took 784 to Boston, 466 to Swindon and 331 to Torquay. Now Boston is a little closer than Cheltenham (though not really any easier to get to and a bugger to drive in and out of on a matchday), but Swindon is further and Torquay is a LOT further. Those were important games even though it was February. Cheltenham is also an important game, maybe even more so. But we're losing away from home so a lot of people who were at 2 or 3 of those games last season won't be there on Saturday.

258 there today.
