Did ANY Pools fan see it?

A Southend fan said Collins punched the Southend player on the back of the head then elbowed him?

Yes I get a text message saying we're appealing...

I don't know who to believe.

By all accounts Collins got a kick off the ball on the half way line when they broke, whether Collins got his revenge I don't know, but have been told he didn't touch him and that there player ran accoss him, hit the deck and the theatricals followed. I think there player has or had premiership experience. Says it all doesn't it

He won't win his appeal, not if the only available footage is that shown on The Championship. It's right at the edge of the screen and at best inconclusive. Collins does shrug their bloke off and he does use his arm, which appears to catch their player high in the chest. Maybe something and nothing, didn't look to be violent conduct, and probably an over-reaction from their player. But they only ever overturn referees' decisions in the case of clear error, and that wasn't one. The three game ban will stand.

Looking at the video evidence it looks a certainty that Collins will be banned for three games.

Correct me if I’m wrong John, but didn’t Nelson pick up his fifth booking of the season yesterday.
If so, both Collins and Nelson will be missing for the trip to Cheltenham next Saturday.

Lets hope Clark’s not too far away. confised

Well Tilson and Barnard are full of shite then becuase I've slowed it down paused it from the footage on the Championship and no contact was made with the lads face. It looked like he tried to get across him and block his run with his back and he went down like a sack of poo.

I doubt he'll win the appeal you never do but there was certainly no elbow.

Hadn't noticed that. Yes you are right sadx

So if Clark doesn't make it what have we got? Antwi and Liddle? Antwi and Elliott? Sweeney and Porter?

i'm pretty sure Wilson will sign someone on loan if Clark is not ready, its too much of a risk to play Antwi & Liddle or something similar, surely sctatchinghead

then again, we all know what Wilson is like stpid

Don't know how many loan players we are allowed but don't think we'd waste one on a defender, Can't Robbie Elliott play centre back.

I think it's supposed to be his preferred position

Get the tin hats on Mr MadJohn, there's gonna be some flak for suggesting this one

Why? It's logical he's an experienced player who should be able to do the job.

so what we're saying here is, basically Cheltenham are going to win 2 or 3 nil. Ten defeats from 11 away games. One point from 33. If the "first choice" defence isn't good enough, what chance is there? Mind you, could the replacements possibly be any worse?
Or else couldn't we class this as an emergency and get a loan centre half in?
