Keith James and Rick Foot are doing the rounds at the minute with music based on Lorca's poetry and including songs of Cohen , Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake et al. Their concert last night was fantastic, but playing to a miniscule audience.
You can get bitter thinking of the differences between real musicians and the horrors of the pop world.

Anyway, they're doing a concert of solely Charlie Drake music soon...Cluny 13th March(only Keith James) and 2nd April at Darlington Arts Centre (both of them). I'd go to the both of them one if I were you

I saw Keith James and Rick Foot at The Studio a couple of years back. Excellent night if you're a fan of Nick Drake.
Incidentally, did you hear about Heath Ledger being obsessed with Nick Drake? He died under similar circumstances too. (i'd hunt out a link on the subject but haven't got time)

I think I might go and see them at the Arts Centre. 10 minutes walk from my house.

When Peter Gabriel left Genesis in 1975, the first thing he did was produce a record, which unfortunately sank like a stone. Guess who the 'artiste' was, there is a clue in the thread.

I'm not really a big fan of Nick Drake but I will probably got to the next concert just to see this pair again.
What I was hoping was that they would do Cohen's 'Take this Waltz' which they did, brilliantly.
