Pools youth team played Manchester United Youth team at Old Trafford in the FA youth cup.

Out of the team that day I can remember:
Jim Provett
Ste Manson

I think Tony Sweeney played but cant be sure.

On the Man U team were:
Kieran Richardson
Liam Miller

Anyone remember any more?

Oh yeah we took them to extra time and got beat off a Provett kick which hitRichardson on the back of the head and lobbed himself banghead

darren fletcher and david jones also played for man utd. we went down in my old clio, complete with choke and it over heated as soon as we got on the manchester ring road, which wasnt much fun! then got lost in oldham trying to get home, rolled into the house at 1am, nightmare.

Pools - Duncan, Watts, Brackstone, Dixon, Craddock, Batey, Peachey, McKenzie, SWEENEY, Manson, ROBSON
Man Utd - Jowsey, Sims, Lawrence, Fox, Bardsley, Taylor, Mooniaruck, Fletcher, Heath, Humphreys, Richardson

Fletcher was head and shoulders above the rest of Man Utd. For Pools everyone played well.
I was sat just in front of Adam Boyd who was itching to be on the pitch. Ferguson and Turner sat together.

Our keeper, Kevin Duncan had a blinder and was unlucky with their fluke winner. Keiran Richardson was absolute pants.
