i read the fookin bbc web-site every morning and see player after player moving clubs for comparative peanuts... :evil:

strikers.....defenders......young prospects.........experienced lower league players.......

AND WE HAVEN'T SIGNED ANY bounder (apart from Thompson) rage

I'VE SUPPORTED WILSON THRU THICK AND THIN AND DON'T WISH THE SACK ON ANYONE, BUT WE CANNOT SIT ON OUR FOOKIN HANDS TODAY. EITHER HE GETS BACKED OR HE GETS SACKED. WE NEED AT LEAST TWO NEW PLAYERS SIGNED PERMANENTLY TODAY, OR FOR THE FIRST TIME, I WILL SERIOUSY CONDSIDER NOT USING MY SEASON TICKET ON SATURDAY.

I'll go and get my hair permed or summat, cos it is not good enough rage

and you know if i'm shouting and whinging, then it's got really fookin bad. :evil:

To be fair Mr Aido, most of those signings aren't going to make a ha'porth of difference to their teams.
The only team I can think of recently that had a big turnaround in form after new signings was us, last year. confised

If the manager's a bum steer he can sign who he likes but it won't help (David Hodgson anyone?).

That's if he really is a bum steer of course.

new blood is desperately needed at the club. It freshens things up, gives the manager more options and lifts players already here who are going a bit stale.
If new faces don't come in, the opposite effect can be achieved. The players here won't get motivated because they know there isn't anybody new to threaten their place, and also they would wonder why nobody wants to come here.
I'm not advocating signings for the sake of it, but a couple of players just as good as what we have already, would at least be a start. They wouldn't have to be better, but at least put pressure on those players who get picked every week.
If Sam Collins does sign, it could really galvanise Nelson again.

Like has been said already on here, if signings aren't forthcoming because the owners aren't backing the manager, then that is a very poor state of affairs. Neither party can continue working together in such a situation.
