As I’m exiled in SweatySockVille and haven’t managed a game all season, I rely on the Bunker for all my Pools news. I don’t post often but read the board every day. The difference in opinions is what the boards about, the insane optimism is touching, the anti-Wilson ranting predictable – but I rely on the Bunker to gauge what is really happening at Pools.

And what is obviously happening is we have lost all confidence, form and ideas. Cheltenham Girls School for fecks sake!! They could buy a win away from home but by all accounts could have slaughtered us yesterday. So, what are we going to do – try to dig in and see the season out or make changes now to try and not only pull it round but build for next season. To me the answer is obviously the latter.

My only real issue with a lot of Bunkerites is that I think promotion would be desperate for us. I would like to see Pools become a solid League one side for a few seasons, build an excellent squad, maybe increase the ground capacity a bit and then go on from there. A lot of us have been through the 70 / 80s that were fecking dire and we are SUCH a better team than that now, with greater expectations. BUT, on current form and with current leadership, we are looking like relegation fodder and doomed to spend the next couple of season bouncing around the bottom 2 leagues.

SO Ken, come on and do the right thing. Get Danny Boy in the board room and give him his final written warning and a week to make changes. No improvement – OFFSKI. Start looking now for a replacement. We implore you to sort this out cos our team, our finest squad on paper for years, is getting shat on. And it hurts.

I agree with much of that.

Except Friday should have been the performance that gets him sacked. If that doesn't then nothing will.

I could cope with being lower mid-table if we had a young and exciting upcoming squad with potential.

But I look at Elliott, Barker, Boland and I see a wary squad.

A look at the squads Wilson has developed and it doesn't excite me.

We've got the potential in Brown, Foley, Liddle and even Sweeney and Robson but they're playing in a tiresome team and it won't do them any good.

The peformances haven't been inspiring and haven't given us much hope. The future looks bleak without changes.
