Danny Wilson was left thoroughly disappointed after seeing his side slump to a 2-0 defeat to Cheltenham Town at Victoria Park.

The Pools boss admitted that it was the worst performance he'd seen since taking over at the Club almost eighteen months ago.

"We could have been five or six down at half time and couldn't have argued in all honesty," an angry Wilson told Pools World after the game.

"The defending was absolutely atrocious at times and we have to take stock of our personnel and see if they're good enough.

"That's what we'll do because we can't carry on like this because it's happening every week and today really was the final straw.

"We've got a lot of soul-searching to do in terms of getting things back on course."
