I can't help wondering if there's something wrong in the dressing room. Last year when Wilson brought in Steve Black to motivate the players they turned it around from Macclesfield onwards. Maybe its time to bring him back.

Probably the top motivational sports psycologist in the country. He worked with Pools last season.

What a load of dogshit, I cant believe we paid someone last season to motivate the players, for fcuks sake they are professional footballers on a decent whack with a manager on decent whack.

I could do with one of every morning about 8am but I still get up and go to work!!

We're hardly alone in that. Just about every club in the top two divisions employ specialist motivational coaches. Steve Black for example was an intergral part of Keegans team up the road first time around.

Pools also employ dieticians, specialist fitness coaches, physiotherapists etc.

They get up and go to work, but its what they do when they get there that counts

There is nothing wrong with using this kind of thing, it has been proven to work in the past, so why not use it again?

some people won't be motivated no matter what any one says to them
i agree with tree if they need motivating then they should be out on their ear

playing footy and getting paid for it should be motivational enough

if it gets a result I'm all for it. could we not just get a hypnotist in ?
maybe he could hypnotise richie barker and tell him he can run
or jan Budtz and tell him he can reach that high ball
