Seen in the Mail tonight, featuring Life of Brian book. The story of Brian Honour written by John Riddle. What a fantastic idea. John is a real Poolie and Brian had a huge passion. Sounds like a winning combination to me....Well done to all and I hope it gets the support it really deserves!!

Thats great. Wouldnt it be good if the Club made Brian and John guests of honour at one of the games. Seems like yesterday that I was queing around the block for Brians Testimonal Game against NUFC! What a legend and TOTALLY under used by the Club..

whilst I appreciate the posting and comments I agree with the member who said Spam. The article in the Mail was sufficent thanks and the publisher tells me they have had over 300 enquiries already. So please don't flog it to death. There are far more important issues like three points on Friday.

The day turned into 'were not worthy' type of homage to the shite with people going on as though it was a royal visit & the last we seen of Brian Honour was him running round our pitch in a black & white shirt.
Showed us where his true loyalties lie that day.

You might have done, but some lying fker reckoned opening the ticket office early "cos there was loads of Newcastle fans queueing" was more important than trying to make sure that Pools fans got tickets.

The black and white shirt business just tops it off really.

I still wanna read the book, but my respect for the guy (he was one of my heroes when I was a kid) dropped a lot after that debacle.

i dont think he ever denied he was a mags fan even in his playing days
you have to respect him for what he did for pools rather than slate him for wearing probably the shirt of his own boy hood hero he was a yakker born and bred he would naturally be either a mackem or a skunk in his school days

Thats fair enough, but to do a lap of honour round our pitch in front of us in a barcode is insulting.
