Not sure but if anyone does like there Real Ale theres a boozer near me called The Dovecote (in Trimdon Grange) which is well worth a try if you are passing through. The beer, lager and cider is 100% beautiful and strong (not tampered with), he gets a lot of guest ales in too.

My other half isn't a member but he's a definite hanger on. Every time we go somewhere he spends ages consulting his little book for near-by, promising-sounding pubs.

Will let him know about the Dovecote...don't think he's heard of that one

The problem for me with CAMRA is they concentrate entirely on the beer to the detriment of the experience.
I don't care if a pub's got the best pint of Old Wally's Superior Ballbuster Naturally Fermented 5% Cask Special in the world if the pub itself is a shitehouse.
