In all honesty, I think that darlo will do well under a decent manager. I had to chuckle last night when some clown phoned the Leg-ends to say that he 'had to stay' if only for 'everything he has done for the club!'
So that'll be what then....................

Tell me, are footballers really so absent minded that they have to be reminded of a manager's initials on every single garment he wears?

I'm slightly worried to be honest. It'll be ok if Cannon & Ball get the gig but if Darlo bring in anyone half decent I can see them improving rapidly.

They've got money to spend and it doesn't take much to get out of this division (although try telling dodgy that! ).

It's always been half comedy, half annoying to listen to his chats to Ray "sycophant" Simpson on Radio Boro. the way he gives every player a crap nickname and always has an excuse for poor performances used to make me want to boot the radio.

With dodgy in charge they were always doomed to mid-table mediocrity. Now, who knows?

They seem to be narrowing down to a choice between Steve Evans or the Ball / Scott dream-team.

Going down springs to mind. rolfl

I asked on darlo Uncovered what all this 'everything he's done for the club' was all about.

But I couldn't be arsed to hang about to see what the answer is. I suspect they're all still scratching their heads and some drongo is going to say:

'The aqueduct....??'

This 3pt win/1pt draw system certainly falsifies the picture when you look at the percentages doesn't it?

The team finishing half way, i.e. 12th/13th, gets roughly 61 points on average or 44% of those available. Not surprisingly that equates to winning one, drawing one, and losing one out of every three games.

So 45% is respectable form, 50% is starting to get you in the mix, but you probably need 60% to get top 3 (although there are anomalies: Colchester somehow got away with finishing 2nd with 79 points last season whereas Tranmere's 80 points in 2002-2003 didn't even get them a play-off place).
