I would say the mans an idiot but I bet the wages they were offering were stupid.

If he takes them down he'll get a pay off and can retire.

I'd have took them down for half of what they're paying Keegan

I just hope now the thick deluded skunks who were ringing '606' last week putting the names of Mourinho and Lippi in line for the toon hotseat realise how thick and deluded they are actually are. I doubt it like.

Of course they could of got someone bigger if they wanted it's just Keegan was first choice or was that Harry Redknapp... I mean they are in the words of Malcolm Macdonald "the third biggest club in the country" after all (yes he did say that).

Thick deluded bastads rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl

I don't quite see the joke. Keegan has an outstanding record in English football in terms of wins vs losses at all three clubs he's managed. He might not have won owt with the skunks but he got them nearer than anyone else in over 50 years.

If they can get him to stick around for more than 5 minutes they could hardly have made a better choice.
Or is that the joke? sctatchinghead

Would it be remiss of me to point out that his win percentage at Newcastle is better than Neale Coopers at Hartlepool. In the circumstances and given the doom and gloom surrounding them, Keegan is an excellent appointment.

David Coleman's spoonerisms and commentary gaffes will be a great foil for Keegan

He's walked away from every job he's ever had including England. Newcastle played some fantastic football under him, but ultimately then won nothing and that was at a time when Newcastle were arguably one of the top three clubs in the country in terms of wealth and pulling power. His record wasn't great at Man City and they didn't exactly play 'Keegan' football he has never been able to recreate that since 1997.

I like the man, it's hard not to, he wears his heart on his sleeve and is honest but times have moved on. English Premiership football has changed massively since the early and mid nineties.

They say 'never go back'.

I was at work when they announced that big Sam had been sacked, one lad straight away said Keegan will be back and he was going to put a bet on the next day, I will have to ask him tomorrow if he did I reckon he will have got at least 20/1 for it then

Ridiculous to suggest that they're going to get relegated or that it's a laughable appointment. The man almost brought them the title the last time he was there and had them playing irresistable football (although suspect defensively)

This is exactly the appointment that they needed. Even if it's short term, he'll restore the feelgood factor up there.

He'll also be given as much money as he wants, an obscene wage and the freedom to run things his way.

I'm don't care too much about Newcastle, but it's clear to me that it's a good appointment for them.

Pesonally I like to see al the teams in the North Est do well..

Well all apart from Darlow, Blunderland and Boreo...

But its Ok for Newcastle to do OK??....

I especially hate the skunks with a passion and the daft bounders who parade around Hartlepool in Newcastle tops as if they are cool as fcuk deserve to be beaten to a bloody pulp, bummed by George Michael, chopped into little pieces, stamped on, burned to a crisp, bummed again the get fed to a vicious tiger.

Or is that not enough?

I'll throw in some ingredients, and let the members of this board decide the method of application of those ingredients to aforementioned treacherous pantomime skunks.

Lawrence
Hot tarmac
Cyril Smith
Habanero chillies
cheese grater
red hot poker
tapeworm

I hate them solely for the fact as talbot states the wakners walking round Hartlepool in their daft barcode shirts thinking they look super foooking cool.

It does my head in banghead banghead but they are not the only guilty ones, there's plenty of Liverpool hanging around as well.

It does my head right in banghead banghead banghead

Could this be akin to Neale Cooper coming back to pools, after all he did have us playing the most exciting football i've seen in my many years of following pools.

Here's me complaining about the thread....................

What most of you are talking about is Hartlepudlians who have chosen to support Newcastle. That is something quite different to people who hail from Newcastle or nearby and rightly support their local team. To base your 'hatred' of Newcastle on the former seems like coming from the wrong angle to me.
I live near Newcastle, work in the city and think its a great place. I have a lot very close friends who are geordies and find them a wonderful bunch of people, warm and giving, like I do with most people in the north east. I'd rather they didnt drown personally.
I'm proud of Hartlepool and the fact I support my team but it doesnt make me hate people from elsewhere.
As for hartlepudlians wearing tops of others, well I think thats pretty sad and its my opinion you should support your home town, birthplace, or where your parents come from. But I suppose thats just my opinion.
As for KK, I was shocked but the mags I know are delighted after the shite they've been served up with and I can hardly blame them
