If you are ever tempted to install Windows Vista, don't do it. It is without doubt the worst operating system in the world. I would choose DOS before this pile of shite.

They're always bobbins when they first come out. It takes about three years to debug 'em.

Yup. And after that they're just plain crap instead of hair-tearingly crap.

Linux takes a lot of getting away with. Not easy for non-geeky people who are used to windoze. And you might be disappointed with the lack of applications.

But it is miles better.

ANYTHING is miles better.

I'm no techno-head, but I was prepared to try Linux. I couldn't really get away with it (didn't have the energy to get used to a new system) and so haven't used it much. Mind you, modern Linux GUIs are relatively straightforward for simple day to day activities. Install another hard drive, get a dual-boot piece of software and give it a go! You've got nothing to lose as long as you keen Linux on a separate hard drive, you're not likely to delete anything important!

If I wasn't required to use windows professionally it would have been wiped off my disc a long time ago. As it is, I'm in windows all the time and stuck with it.
