Drawing against sh*t like that the dross eleven players that Northampton put out today does not need congratulating.

and there is no way I am saying well done to a managerial performance like that one.

But apart from that I agree with everything you say!

I try not to be optimistic or pessimistic, I try to say how I see things and today summed up our season.

Playing a cr*p team who offered little in attack or defence and we only came away with a point because of many poor managerial decisions does not leave me feeling optimistic, it just leaves me frustrated that we can't take points off poor sides and take advantage of loads of possesion.

on reflection, I was happy with the point. Northampton had 3 good goal scoring opportunities in the second half. Don't understand why Porter only got 5 mins mind.

The problem is when we play like that Wilson doesn't like to change things as he thinks things are going well. How many saves did their keeper make all afternoon? Does that conclude to you that we were playing well? We needed our best forward on and we needed him on the pitch long enough to make an impact.

I have all but lost faith in Wilson given some of his managerial decisions this season.

Personally I see it as two lost given how poor Northampton were.

If you are happy to draw every single away game regardless of opposition then you must be easily pleased.

I don't expect us to win every away game, that would be absolutely crazy. Where have I ever suggested that?

I just expect us to beat sh*t like Nor.......ah sod it, if it hasn't gone in by now I doubt it ever will.

It was not a point gained, it was most definitely two points lost.
They were crap, there for the taking and as TPP has said, due to poor
managerial decisions we couldn't take advantage.

We need a left back in the January sales, let's see if he can get that right.
We then need to start putting our best side out at the start of the game,
not putting subs on as a result of crowd chants.

Boland needs a kick up the backside, some of his decisions and passes today
were very poor.

We have the players, who can still make a push up the league, what we are
lacking is a manager who can recognise those players, pick them and get
them fired up for the challenge.
I don't think that man is DW.

Rant over, back tomorrow (oops, later today) with a more balanced post.

if we can't beat a side struggling for form/results such as Northampton, despite us possessing superior players, then something's not right. Who will Pools beat away from home between now and the end of the season? My guess is, we won't beat anyone unless we become more ruthless/clinical across the entire pitch - and attitudes such as being delighted with yesterday's draw is setting expectations very low, and it could all end in tears again on the last day at Walsall if everyone's happy with the odd draw away from home, sandwiched between five or six defeats.

I am so profoundly excited and eternally grateful for that point at Northampton...I have decided to sacrifice my entire family to the 'God of Optimism', in the car park of Frankie and Benny's at Sixfields, next time I pass..............

No, the Dad was Benny and the son was Chrissie, so I was always told, don't know where they lived, maybe our Frodraff'll help me as he is very, very old, or Grabec as she is well ancient and well versed in such matters.
