and they won, they are in the top half of the table, can you imagine what it would be if they were losing and near bottom of the table, i think it would be minus something, and it would be funny if the away fans outnumbered the home fans

To be fair the attendance today was shameful. I don't know what the chairman must be thinking. He must be tearing his hair out.

I know PJ, I'm ashamed of the crowds. Fair enough we got a big crowd at the MK Dons game and lost, but we played the best football we've had at home all season. I could understand if we had played poor and got stuffed.

The chairman can't be happy at all.

I would imagine Darlo's chairman is wondering what the hell he's got himself into.

From an outsiders point of view he's brought in a successful lower league manager, backed him time and time again to bring in whatever players he wants. Tried dozens of initiatives to attract the fans through the turnstiles, planned new development for the land around the White Elephant and still the people of Darlington snub the club on a Saturday afternoon.

People call MK Dons and their chairman for what he's done, but the people down there are backing that club, they had 9881 in the ground today, a crowd Darlington can only dream off and Pools can't accommodate.

It's the stadium........ even if they get a decent crowd which would have created a good atmosphere, the same crowd in that place will still look poor. It'll seem like a reserve match all the time and can't be any good at all for the fans. You can have all the facilities in the world, but if you turn up at an apparently empty stadium, that's not easy to get to or access....the writings on the wall, that's what'll do for Darlo..... 'Georges Folly'....
