The hosting company had a server failure apparently. On the bright side, Dibble had to do some work.

Hands up if you had withdrawal symptons!

Incidentally, Ian (Gremmlin) was convinced it was the ghost of Gertie punishing me. rolfl It couldn't have been otherwise I would have felt a sharp pain and a thwacking noise.

He called our lass 'slant-eyes' and I bagged him for racism. He had to make a public apology to the entire Chinese race. He's a stupid, senile old man who considers himself way more clever than he actually is.

This is another one of his pedantic "show me where I said sack Martin Scott" arguments. He will go on about this for weeks.

He says he called her "our rass" as you did. Even if he did say this and not slant eyes, he obviously fails to see the difference between you saying it, making affectionate fun of her accent, and him saying it not knowing her. I'm not sure if it's racist but it's certainly inappropriate. The man is a smug, self-satisfied bore. What's the betting he asks me to show him where he's been smug?

No, no, I read it with my own unslanty eyes and 'slant eyes' it certainly was. When I pulled him, he said I call her 'our rass' which I do, but that doesn't make it open season on the Chinese, certainly not on my Little Pearl Of The Orient anyway.

As you say, if he crawls any further up his own crashingly boring self important arse he'll be inside out.

Sorry, I know Mr SuperWatty is best ignored, but I just thought this bit, from his thread headed 'For bunker members' so funny.

MadJohn: Watty, you know fine well where Kev lives and the nationality of the lady he is married to........

SW: What's this argument got to do with you, keep your nose out, are you called Kev?........you boring phuqwitted anorak.

MJ: But the title says, 'Oi, You! bunker members'

(short interlude in which watty is uncharacteristiacally reduced to silence)

SW; Thank you for your input, MadJohn............

Heh! I've been mentioned by the legend!

"Daft Fooker" he called me. I'm honoured.

Just checked the Darlo board, guess who's name is on the most threads on the 1st page? Not a Darlo fan strangely enough.

Man needs a life. Anyone having trouble sleeping should read his thread on Horwood on the Darlo board.

So its fine to say someones from paki-land or nig-nog land then?

In his very small and outdated head yes it would seem it is. At this stage I would like to express our appreciation to all the Bunkerites who have raised the gauntlet in defence of my little Lotus Blossom and her racial origins and she sends a very special greeting to you all.

She also has a message for Watty:

'Flock off Watty.'

I think you should all leave him alone, its like 'hutchybaiting' on the darlo board. The mans vulnerable and liable to bouts of hysterical hutchyesque or Stiv like ramblings when posed with a difference of opinion.

Please, leave the poor thing alone

I take your point about double standards....but very few people from the bunker do go on to Rivals site and post abuse.
So it's a little unfair that all bunkerites should be tarred with the same brush.
The issue of certain references to Mrs Kev, though important, aren't what sparked off the current controversy. That started I think when MadJohn posted a totally neutral post which was attacked for no reason at all by Superwatty and his friends. Then, when other people tried to introduce a bit of reason, like Mr Linighan, he was abused as well.

Hopefully it's all over now and we can draw a line under it.

What I really struggle to understand is why some people have a bee in their bonnet about The Bunker and why they continually feel the need to generalise all posters from this board as being cliquey and inferior to those who post elsewhere. It's silly, which is why I can't be bothered getting involved in petty arguments with people who away from their keyboard (and associated chip on the shoulder) are probably mostly sound folk who support Pools and maybe even stand next to me on the terrace.

If somebody can sensibly explain the "we're better than you mentality" which unfortunately exists (albeit on both sides at times) then I'm all ears.
