I wouldn't fly to Darlo to watch Pools away from home right now.

To fly to Darlow from Pools, where would one take of, Greatham International?

I thought I had heard that hey were going to be, obviously the 5 month delay to the start of the redevlopment means that they are putting off playing home games at Cheltenham until next season now

Last summer they planned to be in Cheltenham for the second half of this season, but they announced shortly afterwards that it wouldn't happen.

If I have got my timing right then I should be flying into Bristol Airport that weekend... from Athens :sweeeet:

I'm holding out for the trains; cheaper than the flights, you don't have to get up at 4am, its cheaper drink on-board, its closer to the ground and will save you a fortune over the day in food/drink and you'll only get back about an hour later. The novelty of flying to a Pools game has gone now after doing it a few times, it's a right drag of a day especially with the sh*te 90 minutes in the middle at the moment.

the problem is that the last cross-country train is at 5pm-ish, and Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway are both a 20 minute taxi ride from the ground. If you are reasonably lucky, you can get a train from Temple Meads back to Paddington, the tube to Kings X, in time for the 8.30 back to the North East from there. If there's any delays though, you've had it!!!

I stand corrected!! You can catch one at 6pm, which takes you as far as York, then there's another train you can get back to Darlo from York. Personally I'd stop over rather than fuck about at that time of night, and get the train in the morning.

The direct link from Hartlepool to London might be up and running fully by then so depending on the timetable you could possibly get a train from York back home

40 minute wait at York = 2 pints in the boozer there before next train, surely?!

30 quid return if you get advance tickets and a far better day than flying.

Unlike you, some of us aren't used to getting up at 4am you know....!

But would you be allowed to fly on your own? Wouldn't you need to be accompanied by an adult?
