Cynical me or the right thing?

I was appalled by the level of policing for the Leeds game and they only managed to arrest two people, after the game we were commended for our good behaviour!!

So in light of one of the arrestees going to court and being fined £145 for 'verbal abuse' (http://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/news/Po ... 3639523.jp) my question is, was this a waste of time and the police purely trying to justify their numbers and high costs, or should we be hitting people like this fella with the full force of the law?

Was there so little bother and so few arrests because of the police presence?

If there had been no bobbies and running battles would the discussion be different?

A young lad I know....sort of....and who is a very quiet lad is due at Court soon for getting arrested for using foul and absuive language at the Leeds game!!!! :roll:

It's a Football Match for fecks sake not the fecking Ballet!!!! :roll:
