A gentle 60 minute run to chalk up my 365th
continuous running day!

Celebrated with a pint of Guinness and a cheeseburger 'n' chips
at The Lambton Hounds, Pity Me!

Next target is 500 days!

It always take a none runner to bring up Jim Fixx's name Kev. His father died of a heart attack aged 43, after having his first when he was in his thirties. Running almost certainly extended his life.

Well done Smythe, keep on running. clappp

well done but not offence meant here but you should really give your heart and body time to recover after a few sessions, look at what happened to that motherwell player? nothing wrong with a good days rest every now and again but well done all the same

Yes, when I ran regularly I rarely ran more than 5 days a week. But you can run 7 days a week as long as at least 2 of the runs are ran at a 'gentle' pace and are effectively recovery runs, keeping your muscles supple.

Thankyou for the congratulatory messages much appreciated!

My recovery days as BP says consist of a very gentle/steady run of 15-20 minutes!

However Tigro is also correct in highlighting recovery periods and recovery
is indeed an integral part of any training regime!

By the way day 366 was safely tucked undert the belt at 10:30am this morning with a four miler!

Any Bunkerites are more than welcome to join me for a trot in 2008, as are
any of the Pools players at any time for a jaunt around Houghal Woods.
