Connecting 2 Computers Up!!!!

I've got a Wireless Router etc from when my PC was in the Attic but now we've got the Bairn a PC for Christmas is that what I use to get her on the Internet????

My PC is downstairs and hers will be in her bedroom!!!!

Is it easy to do????
