I am looking to find some people who were Pools mascots in the good old days and wondered if they were still around.
Stuart Douglas, who attended High Tunstall School and whose favourite player was Brian Honour will be about 32 years old today.
Mark Loynes who went to West View Primary School as was mascot in 1988 will be about 28 years old today.
Clare Hall was mascot in 1990 when she attended English Martyrs School. She was mascot for the Pools v Hereford match on 27th October. I know her age - but I am sure she wouldn't want everyone to know.
Finally Richard Boddy was a pupil at Greatham School and I imagine he will be 26 ish these days.
For Into the Blue members who are on other boards - please feel to pass this message.
I would like to interview them and anybody else who was mascot between 1984-95.
cheers
John Riddle.

My daughter Molly was mascot against Darlo in october 99(won 2-0 Shilton,Fitzpatrick). Got a great pic of her in centre circle with Barron,Gabbiadini and Uriah Rennie. She is 16 now and has no interest in football.

I was mascot for an FA Cup 2nd round game against York when I was about 7 or 8 I think.

Can't remember which year it was but I recall that Keith Walwyn was playing centre forward for York cos I'd never seen a darkie close up before.

My brother was mascot against Cardiff in 1995 it was his 11th birthday, we won 2-1 Kenny Lowe scored in the 45th and the 90th minute.

The club made a balls up though and he had to wear my Pools shirt as they didn't have his size in stock, even though I am 7 years older than him, but Frankie Baggs went out of his way to try to help and make up for it.

Frankie Baggs is a legend, my favourite Baggsy moment was against Exeter City when Uri Geller was in the directors box/boardroom having a bit of hospitality when Baggsy struck, pointing to geller he shouted " And you can keep your hands in your pockets there's people eating soup next door!"

Even Geller smiled at that

I think that the one I was mascot for was 1982, drew 1-1.

http://www.inthemadcrowd.co.uk/cgi-bin/ ... p?oid=2976

It was the day before my 9th birthday.

Thanks for all your help if anyone wants to send me an email about mascots but only from 1984-95 please - the era I am writing about that would be great. I will include details of any of the mascots who can provide their picture from the match in the book.
I hope you all have a great Christmas and a Happy Healthy and prosperous New Year.
regards
John
