Going out, haven't got much time!

Pools = Neat football, nice to see players having a go, a couple of weeks ago we looked scared to shoot. Mackay and Moore look a very good pairing. Finally got the break through, then RB plays the ultimate super sub and bags a brace.

Crewe = Rubbish, the complete opposite to Tranmere, defensive, negative, drab, came for a draw.

Man of the match = Richie Humphreys, superb.

Entertainment value = 7.5 out of 10.

The scoreline was flattering, but still a comfortable win. Crewe were indeed awful, they didn't look remotely threatening.

Humphreys was excellent, as was Gary Liddle. Ian Moore did brilliantly for our last two goals, great running giving Barker two gifts.

However, I thought Boland had a mare and Elliott continuously veered between excellence and mediocrity.

Overall, a good win but nothing to get carried away about.

I would replace the word 'excellence' with 'sh1te'.

For the first 25 minutes or so I thought he was excellent. After that, barring some very good crosses, he went off the boil. His positional and attacking sense seems to go awry every time he crosses our half way line, and he doesn't support his left-winger enough. Still, I didn't think he had a bad game overall.

I wouldn't say complete mare Mr Disorder, yes he wasn't great but the cross for Nelsons goal was superb and he made a couple of excellent tackles around the edge of the box

ok, maybe he wasnt that bad but it wasnt one of his better games. Him and Elliot aside, it was a great team performance. I even thought Ritchie was great!

Oops just read back, obviously I was talking about Elliot.

But I didn't think Bloand was that bad either, he always wanted the ball, yes he misplaced a few passes but when you get the ball as much as he does that is bound to happen now and then

I thought Willie did ok, he did the simple things reasonably well. When Willie is playing i feel like pools have much more control of the game. Humphreys was very good and it's great to get a win isn't it?

quote'' the scoreline was flattering'' ,
fecking hell, we could have been 7 or 8 up by half time, and could have had 10 or 12 by full time, Willie Boland was awsesome 2nd half, Ritchie was awsesome from start to finish, Antwi had possibly his best game for us ever, Liddle was excellent but had he been more positive could have been better and Ian Moore definately had his best ever game for Pools, in fact the only weak link today was possibly Elliot and even he showed one touch of real class with a nicked ball that looked like a back heel, though the rest of his game apart from his corners was poor.
To say the scoreline flattered us is ludicrous.

You must have been watching a different game to me. Any team can have numerous long range shots if they want to; barring Humphreys header, the best chance of the first half fell to their player who should have took a touch but totally mucked up his shot which fell very easily to Budtz. Hit and hopes characterised the first half.

I'm sorry, but Boland was poor all game. One paced, passes that put people in danger, crap long balls, stupid attempts to take people on etc. Not good enough.

I think the reason for the long range shots was that the keeper looked fairly dodgy, there was one shot in the first half that went towards the near post that he got down to easy enough but it hit him on the chest and went out for a corner, say he was to save one or two shots and the ball was to bounce out into open play and you have someone as quick as Mackay following in who knows what could happen

You've got to get it on target first, something we struggled to do in the first half!

Boland played his worst game this season vs Crewe in my opinion.

Boland is not particularly creative or skillful, thats not what his game is about. He covers a lot of ground and does the simple things very, very well.

Unfortunately vs Crewe he did not do the simple things well at all. Often giving the ball away, be it with a short or long pass. His first pass of the game he kicked it out, very unlike him.

However this happens to every pro footballer, simply an off game which im sure he'll put right vs Swindon, definately not somthing to worry about.

But yes we played very good football from start to finish and Danny Wilson made some very good substitutions. Well deserved 3 points and a good match (from our point of view) to watch.
