Last night was my works do at a posh hotel in Derby. As Boro are playing at Pride Park tomorrow, the team were stopping in the same hotel.

Don't believe all this shite about teetotal mineral water-drinking Premiership athletes, me and our lass left at half eleven and they were still up in one of the bars supping pints.

A couple of the lads I work with are young Derby season ticket holders. They had hatched a plan to find out what rooms they were in, and cause a 'disturbance' in the early hours so as to break their sleep. This of course would lead to a poor performance and a Derby victory.

So, if Derby manage to get a rare win tomorrow you will know the reason why.
