Well, I'm hoping to hear why the politics teacher plans to take the class to Washington DC next year, on our money

Every subject teacher seems to feel its her/his duty to plan a trip abroad these days. Using parents' money

Well, it's not as easy as it sounds. It gets to the stage where 'everyone is going except me'.
I'm hoping to put a spoke in it to-night while it's still at rumour stage. I mean....if he wants them to experience politics at first hand, what's wrong with the House of Commons? Tho even that would cost buckets

If it's that important to "experience politics at first hand" then why not take the bairn to London yourself and go in the public gallery at the Commons for nowt. Train tickets aren't too bad if bought in advance and then you get a day out or holiday too.

Teachers are a bleedin' nuisance when it comes to spending other peoples money.

Is that cos he is at one of those religious church funded schools like?

Are the rules new or where they there when you chose to send him there?

If Ripper could go back in time it would be 1932

(Please note, the above year is one picked entirely at random, It has nothing to do with the fact it Pre dates the NHS, Grammar Schools, Paid University places, or at least ones that don't the kind of money the good old USA charges, and were us workers doffed our caps to the nobs  )

You could have gone to Henry Smiths like some did.
No rugby when I was there, only football and cricket and we had to play our home games in west view mind you it didn't stop us winning the town cup

If you call your MPs secretary they will arrange a tour of the HoP for you, gratis, free and for nothing, and very interesting it is too.

When the wife and I were in Loondon the other week I was asking the copper on the gate of Parliament if we could go in for a look about. He told us that it was closed that day, but if we wanted a tour around the place we just needed to speak to our MP like you say and it would be sorted. I replied by telling him that my MP was Ian Dwarfy Wright and I would rather put a rucksack on my back and charge the gates guarded by machine guns than have to spend a minute in the company of that retarded self centred bastad.

Well you don't have to speak to him or spend any time in his company. Just call his secretary, usually they have one in Hartlepool and one in London and they'll fix it up between you and them.

I have.

I had a yank visitor and got the tour round Parliament and later the same week we beat Grimsby 8-1, the only Pools match she ever saw. I threw in Limp Biskit in Finsbury Park as well.

I should be a tour operator me.

No.

I didn't live in the Pool did I?? I rang my local Blairite sycophants office and his secretary there gave me a number for his second secretary in London and she sorted it out in the most pleasant and helpful way.

Pity he's a bloodsucking leech as well, 'cos his hired help are really nice people.

No, no, they are truly a pile of bloodsucking shite.

The Houses of Parliament were there long before Blairs body count hit seven figures and Brown's tax take went over 50% and they poured 12 bn tax quid into EDS for a computer system that hasn't even bleeped for the NHS since 2001. EDS incidentally who actively refused to let the HMRC take the relevant details off the those lost discs are they have an exclusive contract, signed by guess who, to administrate data in HMRC.

But still it was nice to show my friend where the decision was made to kill all those innocent people and where the lies were all told.

Yes, its payback indeed, a trip around the Commons is well worth the fact he has bled my own personal pension, and millions of others dry banghead

Still I might go and get a job in the public service and get a cushy number there

We all had an education, what you had to do was pass the 11+ at Baltic Street Juniors to get to the Grammar School. What didn't happen, for months beforehand, is have the teachers pressurising you about how important this test was, and you have to do well, to make our school figures look good. I'm fairly certain we didn't realise the relevance of it, apart from being a test that we had to try our best at.

NO pressure at all if you happened to be bright you finished up in the top half of the class along with those whose parents had a business and were not necessarily bright [privileged] you went to grammar school
the also ran's like my self went on to secondary school to prepare us to be cannon fodder for industry etc

i was talking about a lad i went to school with who missed the eleven plus as he broke his arm playing rugby for the school his mother complained as they do and he has just retired at 60 with a teachers pension
favouritism?
