Yep!!

Can you tell them that if they want to visit bigger grounds where their incredible support can all get in, it is wise (no pun intended) not to be shit the season before so they get relegated to the lower divisions.

Somehow we can't seem to get this through to them.

How you doing anyway??

Ah now I see it - the ticket allocation is directly related to the size of the ground unless its pool 'v' Carlisle where the usual 10% is unacceptable. Yup, I think I've got it now - there's always a logical answer I find stpid

One or two said that they hoped we'd get more tickets. Wow

It's a little different to the constant "these tinpot clubs should be grateful" whinging the rest of League Two has had to tolerate from some of the up-their-arse, patronising tossers who support the "Champions ( ) Of Europe, used to be a great club back in the day, turned into a stain on the game in the 90s and now expect sympathy and thanks, Leeds U-pissing-nited", though innit? confised

Or did I read that wrong sctatchinghead

I love the way you always bring balance and objectivity to the table :-o

Well no it's not even logic it's where we put away fans and it holds 960 people. Every ground is different. What would you have Pools do?? Sell 960 tickets to Pools fans and the remainder to Leeds fans?? There's season ticket holders in the other three areas so that's instantly unworkable. Point is, if you want to visit bigger grounds, don't get relegated.

Dominated them throughout, got a deserved lead and then the lucky buggers got a deflected free kick equaliser on 90 mins.

Leeds showed nothing against our defence, which makes the Hindenburg line look like a Butlins holiday camp.

Final question to all Leeds lurkers, especially those that actually went and those that have to endure the long ball torture of your game week in, week out:

"What's it like to be outclassed?"

:sweeeet: thrilled

What's it like to drop two valuable points at home against a promotion rival - a promotion rival that obviously lacks the skill, flair, fitness and tactical genius of your own star studded, attacking line up. We, the under dogs, can claim a moral vitory here I think. A point gained in front of a monstrous 10,000 crowd.

And you wonder???

The 'Champions Of Europe' get a 1-1 at Walsall.

And crow about it?? rolfl rolfl rolfl

Now if we got a 1-1 at Walsall, we'd be justifiably chuffed. But shouldn't you be doing other things if you're as indefatigable as you claim??

Note the parenthesis.

As far as I'm aware and having seen the European Cups in both Barcelona's and Real Madrids museums, and the photographs of another Bunker member sharing the trophy with a big security guard, oddly enough the name 'Leeds United' doesn't seem to appear on it..... confised confised

Leeds United - uniquely, a club defined by the trophies we lost more than the trophies we won mad john. True story :!:

A thought - go on shoot me down - big clubs always get the decisions (allegedly). In our pomp we were a small club (historically and comparatively). We never got the decisions - we believe we were robbed and as a result our name is missing from more than one trophy. Now I'm no victim so I really don't want to harp on but the records show that at least one ref was struck off following our Euro Cup/Cup Winners Cup finals and the other (I believe) never reffed again. I'm not the best man to discuss this cos my memories not what it was and to be honest, it's in the past and I've moved on although just thinking about the old days brings a tear to my eye sadx But I do like a bit of irony so waccoe does it for me. Like the yanks though, our detractors appear to struggle with irony.

On the manc thing - well it's obvious surely - you are our rivals just now. Scummers may never be our true rivals again given that only one other club (gooners - god bless 'em) seems capable of competing with them long term. I actually like the scummers - it's the scousers, if anyone, who cause my hackles to rise. But the scummers still give us a chorus or two most games just to remind us that we still matter. But rivalry - nah. We now eat in soup kitchens whilst they dine out in Mayfair. And good luck to 'em. They pay proper money for our players, they play proper attacking football and they bring great credit to English football.

I'm as happy as Larry just now - wouldn't want to stay here for ever mindst (typical arrogant Leeds fan). We need to fill ER ever week and we can't do that in Div 3. My only gripe about Div 3 is ground capacity - despite registering for a Boxing Day ticket on the first morning , I didn't get a ticket. Now that really hacks me off. Frankly our boxing day fixture should have been at a ground capable of handling our away support - we take 3,500 to Swansea on the 29th for instance. FL let the fans down and spoilt my Christmas but beyond that this is a great season. mot

A good post whitelight.

Although I do think the irony is lost on a lot of your own fans not just others. Quite a few really believe in the "we wus robbed" story and therefore think they were "Champions of Europe"

Also the hard done to bit, gets wearing for many fans due to the strong allegations of bribery that surrounded the team in the 70's. (and they were a great team, there's no denying that).

As for capacity, it's annoying for you but also annoying for our club. We would have had a decent crowd boxing day whoever the opposition. The Leeds game was always going to be a sell-out, so we lose out as well.

Ah, so the fixture list should have been created to suit Leeds first and foremost. We really should be grateful that you have lowered yourselves to be playing the likes of us in League One

Maybe you had an off day, but we bossed you throughout the second half. You offered nothing up front, Ince had nothing to do all game. One poxy strike and your luck was in, but that's football.

As time went on, the thought of meeting you in the playoffs seemed more and more delectable. Ask your travelling friends if they fancy coming to Bescot again.

My Leeds friends were a little more honest in their appraisal of the game, the away support was silent all through the second half and the goal was greeted with muted embarassment.

I'm sure you'll batter some teams into submission with your long ball approach, but a problem may arise if you fall outside the top two and have to contend with a footballing side. It would really be in the balance and Wise didn't show any footballing brains to try anything different.

We have a better manager and a better defence. Be interesting to see how you play with Kandol but I'm looking forward the Leeds away fixture expecting a point now.

You have a lot of potential but you're just another Div1 team at the moment, one that we can play off the park. clappp

" Oh I get the irony, but Leeds fans are famous for being blinkered drama queens aren't they!" With who?

" Maybe you had an off day, but we bossed you throughout the second half. You offered nothing up front, Ince had nothing to do all game." And yet we drew - funny old game. Wait till we play to our potential. Any idea how much it must take out of a club to pick up 15 points plus before we hit the half season point? No one else has ever done it and the lads are probably drained and knackered. We also lost our assistant manager - a big loss.

"We have a better manager and a better defence. " - and yet we have earned about 18 more points than you this season. What a strange thing to say? LUFC arrogant - just look in the mirror mate.

"(apart from the Boxing Day capacity thing, which you still deliberately don't get) " I get it all right and don't want owt special but I believe a big ground would have made sense on Boxing day. We have no right to any more tickets than anyone else. This is simply a shame - no more no less. Particularly as I must now have a traditional family Chrsitmas

I don't need to defend LUFC but this was an LUFC thread started by a saddler so I commented. It's a privilege to post on here. I love your music threads which is really why I stay around following an invite to all at LUFC by pooliekev I think.

Someone mentioned brown envelopes - absolutely no proof so it's just a cheap shot to undermine the achievements of a (my) great club. Not one of you on here knows anything about envelopes brown or otherwise. Wednesday/Graham - these are people/clubs with a proven history of wrong doing and yet it's LUFC who attract the bribe crap time after time. Then you wonder why our fans are as they are.

Ah well we are where we are as they say and contrary to what madjohn suggests I am no different to 99% of LUFC fans although I'm much older than most. We believe LUFC is the best club in the world - don't you think your club is? Still, if you kick one of us you kick all or us rage And the good news is there's more of us than you

Aye that was me, but unfortunately most of those people forgot their manners when the teams met on the park and showered us with the same invective that had been showered on Leeds by all and sundry previously with few notable exceptions. There was no need to pay us back, we hadn't earned it.

On the footballing front, you'd have to admit that it's a serious wobble since Poyet went. Surely with a squad that size, fatigue isn't a factor?? Or are we all living in hope??

Won 5, drawn 1 and lost 2 since Poyet left (16 points from 24) - forget the cup games, weakened side. That's probably better than you think pooliekev. But I did say that Poyet was a big loss - he was a class act and his departure was disruptive. Big squad - where do you get that from?

Let's see where we are after the Christmas period.

Yes but John you gave a solid reasoned account of why you dislike Leeds and all the other premiershit teams.

Most others just dislike them for no reason. Like they all dislike Sheff Wed and Forest.

We all claim they are not famous anymore and claim they are all bitter. Yet we come across as SAD LITTLE Fourth division nobody's and are bitter about it.

I have spent a while on the leeds board now and the majority I speak to are sound......as are the Wednesday fans I speak to.

A few are twats........but I am sure they think the same of us.

I haven't been on any of their boards but nor do I hate these historically bigger teams.

That's why, until today, I'd let shytit get on with making a tool of himself. But today I couldn't be chewed with him anymore, which is a shame cos like I said to him he gives other Leeds fans a bad name.

Most Leeds / Wednesday / Forest fans are sound (I know more than several through work etc.)

Anybody with a genuine reason for hating these teams then fair enough (e.g. Mr Mad).

Similarly, anybody like ADG who follows one of them (i.e. Leeds) as his second team is equally entitled to be upset at the petty bickering.

I have regularly said that wlwh speaks a lot of sense (apart from claiming to want nowt special, except maybe a large neutral venue for our home game! stpid ), which puts him in a significant minority among Leeds fans I have encountered. Sadly shy tot has been more representative.

definately John!
I like WLWH's posts and he seems dead on, and I for one hope he hangs around on here.

It's not bad and I'd be jealous. But before Poyet went it was significantly better and I don't think you can just write off the Cup games because they happened since he went. If you have the view that they aren't important I'd agree and I get slaughtered because of that opinion. But games played and won before he went and games played and lost since are significantly different 'cos I don't think it would have happened. Now all you've got is 'kick 'em' Dennis in the dugout.

Big squad?? I get it from some, not yours I hasten to add, boast of having Kandol, Beckford, Constantine, De Vries and Andre Flo as striking options and a squad of 31. Not a conclusion I jumped to easily.

I was worried when Gus left and even more worried when Harry arrived - difficult to tell if our 'poorer' form is due to Gus leaving, adrenelin fading once we caught up, tiredness (our midfield is too old) or simply coincidence. A good Christmas though and we could be top in the new year  - a bad one and we could be out of the play off places sadx Football - great innit?

I know you drew, I was there. Anyway, I covered that with 'that's football'.

We DO have a better manager - Wise or Money, Money or Wise............Hmmm. You position is a result of many variables, one of which is the manager. Ours got us out of Div2 last year as champions spending.......NOTHING. Wise is unproven.

We DO have a better defence, young, fit and bursting with confidence and letting in far fewer goals than you at the moment (last 12 games) after a dodgy start.

I did NOT say we had a better team on paper. I would rank your attack more competent than ours, you have more depth in midfield, you have a better bench, you have a good keeper (though ours got player of the month).

Anyway, looking forward to the next time we give you a footballing lesson thrilled

Who we support is normally by geographical accident - but the most important thing which separates true footy fans from wa***er glory seeking tosspots, is the fact that the fans who have an allegiance to a certain club hold that allegiance for all of their life, and support the club through thick and thin - no matter what level of football they play at.

Glory hunting is not confined to the top four of the prem either - Fulham, Swansea, Cardiff, Wigan,Bolton ,Reading,Hull, Charlton, and a few others - these clubs were poorly supported for years and years until their fortunes turned upwards fairly recently and fairly sharply and their attendances swelled overnight. Those clubs will suffer attendance-wise when they struggle in the future (which they ALL will at some point). Then we'll see the hardcore of numbers again.
Historically Leeds are a big club, so they will always attract a huge fan base no matter what happens to them. Ditto Man City when they were in the third tier of English football.

I have no hatred of any team's true fans - they are the same as me (whether there are more of them or less of them compared to HUFC doesn't matter).
It's the twats who show their faces when a club is riding the crest of a wave then disappear without trace at the first signs of struggle who I can't stand.

It already was, you just couldn't be bothered to turn up.

The rest of your reply is ridiculous, we were better than you on the day and we did, seriously, teach you a footballing lesson in pass and move - just adopt some humility and accept it. It happens!

Does it mean that we're on course for Europe? No.

Does it mean that Leeds are on a permanent spiral of decline? Probably not.

But the appreciation of other football teams is acceptable and shows a mature attitude, rather than just springing to the defence every time and dismissing the truth.....

My only gripe about Div 3 is ground capacity - despite registering for a Boxing Day ticket on the first morning , I didn't get a ticket. Now that really hacks me off.

I was tempted but thought I might appear presumptious. Boxing day treat for me now is wondering around the foothills of the pennines with mrs heat's extended family (in my i-pod) in search of heathcliffe. Only question now is will I be drowning my sorrows by tea time or celebrating success. Good time to play us by the way - Douglas is out for 3 months and despite his lack of pace he is a key player for us. We are carrying one or two injuries just now - transfer window can't come soon enough as wise appears to have 2 or 3 useful signings lined up.
