The referee was an absolute disgrace,he completely lost the plot & had a nightmare.
Mayweather showed that he is in a different class to Hatton altogether & gave us a reminder of why he is the best fighter in the game today, regardless of the refs performance,I think the end result would have been the same.
Mayweather went right up in my estimation last night both as a fighter and as a bloke,Ive never seen him be as complimentary towards his opponent (and possible future opponents) as he was after the fight.Hatton may not have won the fight but I think Mayweather learnt a lot from the whole expeerience.
Theres no no doubt at all that Ricky Hatton is not a welterweight & should stay at light welter from now on,hopefully a 'best of british' fight with Junior Witter next year.
As for Mayweather,a fight with Miguel Cotto is the most exciting option.

One interesting bit of news,Joe Calzaghe has supposedly managed to convince Hopkins to fight him next year so we will get to see a British guy beat an American superstar.

it certainly accounts for the number of fights Lennox Lewis won against the likes of Tyson, Holyfield etc. Skill versus raw power

And a bent referee. I still think that if Hatton had been allowed to fight his natural fight for the first few rounds he could have got in amongst Mayweather.
