....cos the youtube clip of hugh the hammer put me in a reflective mood and led me to watch the goals from the play-off final for the first time since the day itself. 2 points which are probably old hat for most of you who have been able to watch it :

There's a whole clip of the day on youtube; lots of fans before etc. I watched it a few months ago, the first time since and it f****ing gutted me honest. But it still made me so proud

I had it taped for me while we were down there but I too haven't been able to watch it. Perhaps one day . . . .

When I watch the DVD of that season ...I watch it all the way thorough till the point where the celebrations end after Daly's goal and then turn it off...I never have seen the end yet ..... is it just me who does it? sctatchinghead

I had it posted out to me about a month ago, and I was up until 2.30am watching it after the game. I too cannot go beyond Daly's header. The injustice is still too much and today I would still cheerfully spit in Phil Crossleys eye.

Imagine how we'd have taken the Championship by storm with Scotty at the helm eh??

A canoe job.

I doubt that we'd have ever found out how Scotty would have done. He didn't have the job at that stage, he was caretaker.

It's all conjecture of course and I wouldn't have minded getting hammered at that level. I'd just have felt smug that we got there against all the odds.

And we would have if not for Phil Crossley.

Cheers Phil. Hope it was worth it.
