We used to get them every year, but I haven't heard a single one this year since we moved.

Long may it continue, and a big hooray for fireworks. rolfl

I had the hearing in my right ear damaged by a banger on the Champs Elysees!

Keep fireworks by all means but ban bangers. People can't be trusted not to be reckless.

Without getting all 'Vietnam' on you, I can't deal with fireworks displays, they take me back to places I'd rather not go.

I've just been reading a Spike Milligan book "Where Have All The Bullets Gone" where he virtually says the same thing, even someone stepping on a paper bag makes him jump.

Surely that must be rereading, I can't believe you haven't read it before!
