They're excellent books...my daughter got me to read them. So looking forward to seeing the film. But I think the Americans watered down the church aspect which took away the plot altogether. Americans really don't like debate do they

I don't think the Catholic church is in any position to lecture anyone seeing as its ridden with paedophiles and child abusers.

Also, talk about hipocritical!

"give to the poor' while the Pope has gold taps on his bath. The Vatican is one of the richest banks in the world but they don't give much of it away. Incidentally a fair bit of its wealth is stolen property from day one. They ripped of the Templars in medieval times and topped it up more recently with Nazi gold.
