Without seeing the match, or even hearing the commentary, I'm going to remove my 'Rose Coloured Specs' and blame Gibb

That’s seems fair, doesn’t it?

Don't get me wrong, we lost, we seem short of ideas and have some tough fixtures coming up, but this 'rose tinted spec's dogshite makes me banghead

but Brown's goal counted for nowt today - we need to sort out the defence pronto, or at least get some real experience in there in January when we can make permanant signings.
We can't go on conceding two goals almost every week, usually not very good goals to boot.

On poolsworld they said it was the softest goal conceded for a long time. Fooking hell it has some competition.

Not getting arsey just expressing my opinion
Micheal Mackay's statement after 15 minutes on Pools world after being asked how the game was going was priceless "its boring" yawn1

I know that Parmo, but it's the defence, or Wilson chopping and changing which is costing us, not the loss of Boydie

The defence needs sorting immediately. If we dont concede we dont lose, and at the moment any point seems a bonus!!

the point I tried to put across (poorly)was, if our defence was as good as Orient's today then Brown's goal would have been as valuable as Boyd's.
The respective form and goals of those two players is being contrasted by the piss poor defence Pools have.
It is definitely the weakest-looking defence we have had for a long time, and I would include the season under Scotty!!!!!

But we had enough chances to score four or five goals today so if we score enough goals we win also

Gillingham also had plenty more chances - so by that reckoning we would have lost 7-5 or 6-4 anyway.

i thought the people in charge were taking action on Thursday?
blame cooper blame scotty you can even blame the mafia if you like
blame the players left or right back it makes no difference if the bloke in charge can't do the job
has he not had more relegation's than promotions? he just can't pick a team that can play for ninety minutes because he hasn't got a clue what is best team is and when we are playing with a bit of passion or skill he feels he has to change it

he split the best back pairing in the division last season and left out one of the so called knifers
then he finds his mate is playing badly i will bring an un tried defender in to play along side him that will bring him on
still no joy reluctantly i will bring back the partnership win a game then drop him
i will bring in an experienced left back and move someone over but then i have to drop my striker to accommodate him then that left back looked as if he would be out of place on the rec

i know i will put all the little fellers in the middle that will be easier for us to hoof the ball over them
as they can't last a full game so we don't really need them
and the best striker at the club will be a great asset on the wing

just suppose a big boss at a little club looked at a similar situation last week and said
buggered if i am going to give this feller any money we are going backwards with the players he has brought in already lets just get to christmas and see who is still here

but the real culprit in all this is that nasty chris westwood that scored against us three seasons ago and got cooper the sack
come on guys we can all be mangers

Now I'm REALLY worried

The last time we won in the league was 3rd November, we are now 15th in the league with Tranmere, Leeds, Leyton Orient & Carlisle to play in the next few weeks. I can see us getting sucked into a relegation battle again!!!

Last season we started poorly & were kick started into an incredible run by the inspired (or lucky? I'm starting to wonder!!!) loan signing of Duffy. Loan window is now closed until January & we signed......... another defender, god knows we need to strengthen the defence, but in case Mr Wilson hadn't noticed.......... we ain't scoring goals either

Unfortunately the instant action time expired at 5 p.m on Thursday.

All is not lost, if we can get the boss (DW) on a diet of humble pie,
we could turn the season around.
Get him to forget which players he has signed and judge the whole
squad on ability, give the 'best' * team an extended run (without
tinkering) and if we are still in trouble in January ship out the deadwood,
admit defeat and bugger off.

* look at anyone of the numerous threads if he needs a clue as to what the best team is.

Three points thrown away apparently, because of 15 minutes of 'gentlemanly'.....'no, after you' .... defending in the second half. According to the radio commentary.

But the deefender was probably the best player on the pitch, he looked really composed and will do well with us. Once again confusion at the back between Antwi and Nelson has cost us the points. At half time we were coasting and playing some of the best we have played for weeks. Nelso is really worrying me at present - we know he can't play with Antwi, but he hasn't been at his best even when partnered with Clark recently.
This was another game we should have won. Gills fans were saying after the game that they couldn't believe they had got the points. Trouble is this keeps on happening.
