I would be bothered, actually.
Presumably he couldn't help not being up to the job, but in his position I'd have got more out of resigning, than in accepting 2 million for letting down millions of people

A 4 year contract for a manager who had limited experience as a football manager where he had one mickey mouse competition.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but surely a 2 year deal with a view to extension would have been better!
