One nil would do me against Wrexham. But if we can manage to put the same percentage away maybe we can get more than one.

Fighting talk!

Believe it, in due course this bloke will be thought of at the same level as Cloughy and Sir Cyril. Danny Wilson will be a legend and I'm proud to say that I can honestly state that I have never uttered a negative about him.

I have and I'm still not convinced.
Anyone (except Scotty) should be able to mould a winning team from the squad we have. It's all about playing people in their right positions.
I will take my hat off to whoever arranged the Liddle deal, because he is the one 'big' difference.

I don't quite believe that yet.

Honestly, if it's crackers to ask for Wilson's head after only nine games, then it's equally as daft to hail him as the messiah after just two more.

Now I want Wilson to go out and stuff those words right back down my throat.

I think he will. The turnaround in such a short space of time is seriously impressive. The confidence after relegation was rock bottom, he fixed that within half a dozen games and found a strike partnership that none of us would have believed. Thats where the management comes in and what all good managers can do; see things in players that others don't.

well bully for you baby!

its fair to say i had a proper big knee jerk reaction, but in the 3 games i've seen we've been seriously gash-worse than the scotty era. forgive my paranoia, but from what i seen we were going down.

i'm chuffed to f ucking bits that we have 2 wins, but i'm not getting carried away yet, or eating that slice of pie-even tho i'm fully prepared to-so long as it has whippy cream on like!

But, not one person on here, or anywhere else, who saw the pathetic shrewsbury game can have predicted what has happened since.

So "the big change" has only just happened, thats two games.

Yes it's only just happened, but it's been threatening to happen right from the word go. We've dominated at least three games without winning them. Now we've started winning a bit. So much the better.

As for Shrewsbury, 'twas no doubt a case of hitting the bottom due to complacency.
Now that we've come back from being a goal down to actually win a game we can hope that particular attitude problem has been corrected.

Expect nonetheless to witness more disappointing defeats along the way. Even Chelsea and Arsenal sometimes come unstuck against the likes of Middlesbrough. If we scrape into third spot on the last day of the season without ever murdering another team it's job done.

Scraping into third spot would do me very nicely indeed.

Like Bournemouth (still in CCL1), Huddersfield (still in CCL1), and Southend (already in the CCC), you mean?

Rather than front-doorers like Pools, Rushden, Wrexham, and Torquay?
