or the surrounding area....

Does anyone know which hotels in Hartlepool are the cheapest as I may need to book one in the next couple days? Also if you could give a rough idea what sort of price any recommendations are likely to be.......

The cheaper the better.... Not bothered if they might be a bit dingy or like Faulty Towers. i'd just rather pay less than 55quid a night which is what the hillcarter quoted me.....

We stayed at the Brafferton when I came up for my first ever trip to Hartlepool in 2001 (Stockton Road, I think)
Cheap rates, nice decor, food etc.
Try them

loads of lock-ups around the town. Bring plenty of blankets in this weather though.

Use the travel inn at the Marina. It's about the same money, well placed and you know exactly what you're going to get. By the way, they have a rule that if you were unhappy with your stay then they have to give you your money back.

B & B is always a cheaper option - in the past some have been pretty dingy but that was about 20 years ago.
Have a look at this link - hope it helps:

Very good Talbot, there is a good reason why the young hottie won't be coming to mine. But just to keep you informed it now looks as if I will be spending the night in aa village somewhere near Chester le Street...

But thanks to everyone for their help, the hotel rooms seemed a bit pricy, but I suppose they can be as they know that some people go to some lengths and extortinate prices just for a shag......
