Matty Robson, take a bow. Tonight you were superb. All the team played well but Matty just edged the MOM.

The game tonight it was like watching the very best of the Neale Cooper era, we dressed like Brazil and played like them. I'm tired but very very happy.

Joel had a great game as indeed did Jon Daly, these two are developing into a really good partnership. I don't actually think there was much wrong with them to start with, the difference is that the midfield is working well now and supporting the front two by dragging defences all over the place. This gives the two front men that bit more time and space. They are not being asked to play to a big hoofball up front now either.

Matty tortured their right side along with Ali Gibb, you can see his confidence has returned as he is pretty much shooting on sight. I also thought that Ben Clark looked very classy last night and Nelse had his usual outstanding game which has become expected.

As for the yellow strip; I quite liked it. It's obviously a bit Delia Smith but we were certainly cooking on gas last night.

It sounds like Liddle is doing what Sweeney should have been doing for the last season and a half, or what Ritchie and Tinks were doing way back.
Only better!
In our last promotion season, let's make no mistake about it, it was our dynamic midfield that ripped teams apart. We didn't have any defence terrorising strikers in the team, our top scorer Eifion netting just 15 league goals. Could we be heading that way again?

I'm already hearing people saying Liddle is one of our best signings in the last 30 years. Yeah I know it's early days for saying that but you have to admit it's encouraging.
Do you think the Borer have another Liddle they could lend us? Imagine two of them in midfield.

Agreed Liddle is a class act and his goal was a beauty, it was remiss of me to leave him out of the summary. The truth is that the whole team played exceptionally and as a team. Matty for my money shone a little more than the rest which is some achievement with that performance.

The togetherness is back and the team spirit is clearly excellent. You'd think that a big black cloud had been lifted from the dressing room spirit.

It was noticeable that when Sweens limped off and Boland came on and Liddle was sent forward we absolutely overwhelmed Grimsby. I haven't been the greatest fan of Bolands yet, I don't believe this 'He's not fit yet' rubbish, he's a professional footballer and he bloody well should be, but he made a difference last night. Liddle is awesome going forward and the step overs were sublime. He really took the piss.

Put short, he's FAR too good for Division Four. Then again so is Mickey Nelson. And Dazzler Williams. And Ben Clarke.......

Hang on......

Well you don't turn up until half one and then go at twenty past two. It's like a flaming graveyard up until then anyway. There's no Sky so you can't watch the match, there's no offers on and the beer is at best ordinary. Plus you're in there, you ugly get, curdling the milk.

May I recommend that we all find a mutually acceptable pre-match watering hole which suits us all. Gloves, gerron with it!!

What about the Corner Flag??

Ducks, runs for door.........

How did your missus enjoy the game anyway? She looked a little bewildered, if not scared by how mental we were going, especially after the 3rd and 4th goals!

Pubs aren't for kids anyway. They can always stand outside like we used to have to do when kids weren't allowed in anywhere.

If they are off shoplifting I haven't got one of them ipod thingys.
