Liddle was apparantly injured with a broken bone in his hand, he only realised after Sunday that he broke a bone - how the hell do you break a bone in your hand and not know that you've done it ?

Liddle's damaged his hand, apparently.
Could be out for three weeks, or fit for Sunday (according to Mark Simpson)
waiting for the result of a scan

Ok, so where was brown? and what was his half time team talk, we made morecame look like world beaters, luckily for budz or it'd never have gone to penalties.

Shocking performance.

Give foley lessons on how to shoot straight.
Drop barker, I know he scored but he did foook all else
Same as sweeney, waste of space.
Did Moore touch the ball?
I'd have them in tomorrow on the foooking beach banghead
Best chance of getting to wembley and we blow it banghead
Wilson foook off banghead

Honestly this team is sooooo negative, pass it sideways, or backwards, never forwards, or lump it up for barker who didn't win a header all night.

Where was Ben Clarke sctatchinghead

Where's the exciting football we used to play sctatchinghead

Its not good enough simple as that, we always phuqing blow it.

Bottleless bounders banghead banghead

Barker scored but did fook all else?

FFS, HE DID HIS JOB, or was supposed to keep a clean sheet as well

Or perhaps he should of carried out open heart surgery on the centre circle?

I was sat in victoria park watching a pack of clueless bounders trying to play football.

And that team was playing in blue.

Embarrassment!

How did he do his job? He scored a goal I could have scored, big deal!!!!

He never won a ball all night

With the possible exception of Porter & Budtz NOBODY can take any credit from tonight. The whole team was shocking - even Nelson seemed incapable of passing to a blue shirt. We subbed Robson at half time & I hadn't even realised he was playing. Are we frightened of scoring? That is the only explanation I can find for us getting into the opposition half & then trying to spend 5 minutes passing the ball about around the outside of the box. I also would not be there on Sunday if it wasn't for having a season ticket, we are boring to watch these days & look like we couldn't score in a brothel. Defense is weak (maybe because we are now without Dimi?) Budtz doesn't seem to have a tounge in his head, language barrier my arse, how hard is it to shout "Keepers" or even his own name for fucks sake (thats what Nelson does)

It's pathetic & I am becoming seriously worried about the rest of the season

to be fair barkers goal was the result of a piece of brilliance from mckay.

barker did okay first half but was out on his feet in the second.

how anyone can defend ian moore on tonights showing beggars belief.

without james brown we are lost.

tonights showing was reminiscent of the bad times under scotty, we were truly embarrassing.

Well said Chip - couldn't have put it better myself

We despetrately need another inspired loan signing like we made last year - to kick start our scoring, at present I am amazed we score at all - Gainsborough Trinity myst have been REALLY bad for US to put 6 past them

i think in the main Richie Barker battles well but the service to him at times is nothing short of dreadful. It is lazy balls to him all the time and at least he seems to give a shit unlike many. Antwi may well turn out to be a good player but why the fukk should we be the ones who have to develop him. Sweeney is crap, when he plays we never control the midfield and we never will. The substatutions and team selection again were baffling.

Barker is not a whipping boy - just a player who is SERIOUSLY under performing, if you look back at my posts in the past I do not have whipping boys - but I will comment if I think a player isn't earning his wages - & at the moment, in my view, Barker isn't

there's no way barker is becoming the new whipping boy. the fans were still singing his name at the end.

the thing with barker is that he is a lower league striker. he is like fortune west, he does exactly what you expect. he goes in where it hurts and he gives 110 per cent. but he wont turn a man, he wont beat a man for pace and a lot of his game tonight involved dropping deep for the ball with his back to goal, taking 3 touches and laying it off to our full back.

where he will get you goals at a lower level, as he showed in the last 2 games, is if you set him up in the box with only the keeper to beat.

i think most peoples gripe at the moment is that he seems to have a hold over wilson who insists on picking him for every game ( he has been dropped once i think this season, and we scored 5 away from home, draw your own conclusions ) and wont sub him when we desperately need something different up front.

there was one occassion this evening where joel got the ball just inside his own half with his back to goal. barker would have trapped it and passed it backwards. joel turned in one move and then raced into their half. barker couldnt keep up with him and the aussie ended up isolated on the edge of the box surrounded by red shirts and had to draw a foul.

some of us would simply like to see the brown/porter pairing given another try. i cant think of another manager in the game who would try a partnership once, see it get 5 goals and consign it to the rubbish bin.

i cant fault barker for effort because he gives everything, but i said it months ago, and i will say it again, our forward line is boring and it wont get us the goals we need to get promoted.

as it happens barker was far from being our worst player tonight. there were several worse such as nelson, antwi, humps, sweeney, robson, mcunnie, moore.

take your pick really.

Only issue I will take to that Chip is - I have long given up any hope of getting promoted, my fear - if things don't improve at home, is avoiding relegation (again!)

i predicted 14th in the fanzine at the start of the season. primarily because i thought the standard in this division would be really high this time around.

now ive seen a few games and the team that has won the most games, leeds, a couple of times, i have to say 14th would be an underachievement. we are capable of so much better.

but i take your point, that anyone only seeing our home games this season, would think we might be relegation material.

That is the thing really Chip, I only ever do 1 or 2 away games a season due to work & family commitments. All Ihave seen this season is the shite served up at home (& I haven't missed a home game yet)

before the seaon started i said wilson would grind out sufficent narrow wins to keep us mid table. ive seen nothing to suggest that wont happen.

we are playing a bournemouth side on sunday that barely has 11 fit players. you couldnt ask for an easier game. i can see us winning 1-0.

Christ I hope so!!!!

I was very disappointed in the players tonight who are capable of much better. I think it must have finally sunk in to a lot of people that Robson will never make it, and Foley will not make it either.
I'll argue the toss all night on those two points.

We need mobility combined with ability up front. Barker has ability, but lacks mobility so his strike partner has to be lightning quick to compensate. I really think Porter and Brown should be given a run of at least half a dozen games up front, and stick Ian Moore wide right, Monkhouse on the left.
Boland needs a run of games to get his fitness levels back up, he is the best holding centre midfielder we've got. If Liddle gets back to his best then he would be the natural choice alongside Boland, but he needs to get his attacking head on a bit more than he has recently. Sweeney has disappointed me because I rate him, he needs to be more consistent -when he's on his game he is a great team player with an eye for goal. Come on Sweens, what's up with you?

Nelson is making more mistakes than he has ever done, his place should be under threat really. The second goal at Huddersfield, the way he was turned by Mooney for Walsall's winner, are uncharacteristic examples of the player we have grown accustomed to.

McCunnie should be placed at right back AND KEPT THERE, unless we sign another right back, or else play Barron again- but how can Gibb be brought on to cross balls into the box and expect to play as right back at the same time? Apart from the fact that we become dreadfully weak in a key area of the pitch when he plays there.
I'm not sure it's down to all the chopping and changing, or else the players are generically incapable of playing two games the same, but I can now say with conviction that I have no idea whatsoever how Hartlepool United will perform from one game to the next.
