Sunday sees the North East Harrier League (NEHL) get under way with a cross country at Blaydon, the 1:15pm start time is not problem for me, and I should manage to complete the 4 lap 5.7mile course in just under 42 minutes... however... do I hastily get changed and make my way in the Smythe Mobile to....

(a) The Vic for the televised Sky game HUFC v AFCB?

or

(B) Make my way to Durham Market Place to see Jason Grimshaw, Sarah Grimshaw (nee Platt) and David Platt, officially switch on the Christmas lights?

Is it or is it not a no brainer?

My dilemma for Sunday is how do I get from Leven (Just outside of Yarm for the geographically challenged), after my son's first match on his return to Billingham Town, in time for the start on Sunday. Particularly as I don't even know what time the kick off is yet. Hopefully it's in the morning.

There's times when family must come first!

i.e. Yesterday do I support The Champ and watch him play with brass band at Remembrance day memorial service at Seaham, or miss a 6-0 Poolie victory at Gainsborough Trinity?

That's a no brainer by the way you've phrased it: both, by the sounds of it rolfl

The correct answer, on current form, is undoubtedly (B)

Sorry for dealy in reply Portsmouth Poolie!
He's still playing with Pittington Brass but has also recently being promoted into Durham County Wind Orchestra who practise at Newton Hall. He now is a proud owner of a brand spanking new Besson Sovreign 5 valve compensating euphonium alot of paper-rounds worth of money I can tell you!

Excellent! 5 valves eh? I've never played one of them! Good to hear he's still playing, I'm not anymore, it's just not the same down here.

Well done on the run by the way, I recently finished the great south run in 1:18:29, 16 minutes quicker than last year!!!

Aye 10 mile it was, a very wet and windy 10 miles, the last 2 being straight into a gale!

A 10k race next for me in January, no chance I'll do it any quicker than about 45 minutes though and that will be pushing it!
