We get under two hours to savour the Gainsborough result, sit through the draw avoiding crap draw after crap draw to be 'rewarded' with the dubious honour of an away tie at Leeds.
Now if you get aroused at the prospect of playing at Leeds, if you look forward to a bumper pay day and still think Leeds are big time... then you have won the lottery.
I would rather have a draw that increases our chances of getting through to the next round, when the big teams come in ... and I'd still like a minor team because I want to get as far as possible.

Why noy? Of course we can get to the final. When Leeds were in the Premiership I seem to remember them getting to the semis/quaters without facing a Premiership side. We could do the same, and you've always got a chance. On our day we can cause any team problems.

Of course we can. Brown could cause Man U loads of problems. The defence keeps it tight then we've the potential to beat them. Plus we've got an Australian in our ranks who like Brown can cause any team problems. Man U can obviously cause us problems, but nothing is impossible. Have faith.

Anyone remember Chesterfield in around '95.
All the way to the semis where they faced Borer & but for a couple of bad refereeing decisions would have beaten them & made the final. Many things are improbable but nothing is impossible, with the help of a kind draw & maybe one 'fluke' giant killing a team like us can make semis or even the final.
Leeds away,I think its a shit draw (prefferable to Hereford though) as is any away tie, gimme a home game anytime.A replay could be fun though

note my use of the word ... 'if' ......

Do excuse my naivety, but the romance of the FA Cup to me has always been playing lower league teams, it appears the lure of the dosh overrides everything now.

Look at it from Leeds' point of view. They just want this game out of the way.

They think they're better than where they're at right now and that their rightful place is in the premiership. The FA cup comes at least second in Leeds' business plan, they want to get their noses back in the premiership trough. That's their priority. Thats what they're about.

Not only that they've been on a good run but we know and they know all good runs have to end.

Pools are going in there as underdogs, they've already frightened Leeds in the league and Pools have nothing to lose, they've got a point to prove and some glory to gain.

Leeds must be thinking this is the worst possible draw they could have had. This is Pools' cup final, let's have a bloody big upset.

I hate to keep airing this every time the FA Cup comes around but we don't need the money. Remember?? At the end of every season IOR assess the damage and wipe the debt by issuing shares. So it doesn't matter if we get telly money and gate money and transfer fees etc etc etc. All that does is makes the share issue smaller.

Personally, I reckon any game where the gate is up in the late 20,000s is a good game to be involved in. I mean, Leeds or Wigan?? Leeds or Scunthorpe?? Leeds or Colchester?? Away??

It's an opportunity to even the scores after the last game there, and will probably be seen as the tie of the round. Unless of course Hereford haven't read the script.

So why (Mr Snowy) is there not a thought that we can win this one and then get another big game in the next round?

If we play anything like we did on our last visit to Elland Road then we've every chance and they won't fancy it.

If we play like we did at Huddersfield we'll get slaughtered.

And that's assuming that Leeds win their replay...

I never said we can't...however, in your job, you must study the probability factors relevant to any action. The probability factor applied to football states that we are more likely to beat Horsham at home than Leeds away...of course, there is always the unknown factor that states nothing is guaranteed and can't be guaranteed..... that's why it's a 'probability'. I can't help being underwhelmed by this draw, if it makes you happy, good for you.
We all have different opinions, be a bloody boring board if we all agreed

On the balance of probabilities you'd have reckoned we'd beat Morecambe.

What forecasting can fail to take into account is bone idle lazy bastad players who couldn't give a flying fck about the supporters or their own professional pride.

How very dare you.

I work for the subbie now.

So I rape clients bank accounts.

It's amazing how they can never specify exactly what they want when they place an order and the amount of changes you can find if you look hard enough.

Do keep up.

To set the record straight - we have won two of three league games, drawn in the FA Cup and lost in the paint pot. In both cup games we rested players. No time to panic.
