I'll be there. I'm hoping for a decent turnout tonight seeing as it's one of the closest games to home.

Yep.

Hoping / planning to get a flyer from work- I've arranged a meeting for 2pm which shouldn't take long followed by a "site visit".

Where's the plan for pre-match drinks?

If I remember rightly, 'Uddersfield don't have a bar in their away end.

Where is this place "good" of which you speak?

And if it is the name of a place should it not have a capital "G"?

Two of us driving up from London.

A new ground for me (went to Hudds old ground), so that's two new grounds in four days. Would have been three in eight if Gainsborough hadn't been put back to Sunday rage .

I think we have Bresslaw if you're stuck, get onto the Rooke. It all depends on one other dropping out though.

and Huddersfield do have a bar if I remember. Think it in the open air though.

The pub we went to was full of home fans if I remember correctly so would rather stay away this time.

I went with Ripper and he broke the land speed record on the way back!

If Huddersfield away on a Tuesday night was good enough to broadcast live on Sky last time why isn't it this time?

When it was on Sky it was moved from a Saturday to a Monday night.

The place is called Good-to Ripper. And there's some punctuation missing too.
The phrase should read "short journey to Good-to; miss it"

Monday, Schmunday; we haven't been in a decent televised match since the one in Cardiff.
We were on the box 4 times that season, though admittedly I only saw three of them (go figure).

I think we are transferring to Paddys at Botch Corner. This will either be a Jaguar (he has 2 at a time sometimes) or an equally eccentric large petrol-guzzling British Car with a walnut dash.

So some large Jag-type thing if not a Jag itself- what colours should we look out for and will there be Pools scarves or stickers?

Despite living quite near in Leeds I am not sure if I can get my arse in gear and go. I went to Millwall on Saturday yet apathetic regarding tonights game which is the second nearest for me.

Yes.

From the Huddersfield guide on the Pools website:

Pools fans will be situated in the covered and all-seated South Stand behind one of the goals. The facilities and acoustics are excellent and full bar facilities are available behind the stand. There is room for around 4,000 visiting fans in the South Stand.

Was it shut last time we were there?

I've been to a few away games when they've shut the bar when playing Pools, especially at half time.

Where are people parking? I've heard there's a car park at the ground which costs £5 for the stay. Is there any other more reasonably priced car parks around the area? I don't think its worth paying £5 to protect a punto! :sweeeet:

It is also a twat of a car park to get out of.

When approaching the car park at the lights where you would go left to get to it take a right instead there was a little car park up that road for about 3 quid last time I went there

Might have missed everyone but for the televised game there was a bar on before, and at half time. The Market Tavern is close enough and is decent for away fans, I met Ripper and his mate there when I was working at Leeds Festival, the game of the Boyd wonder goal, and where I got Mampi and his mates pissed thereafter.
