There's a fence seperating the away and home fans outside the ground where the away fans have to wait to be escorted to the train through this special route. A few of their kids/chavs decided to stand by it and embarrass themselves.

Then at the other end of the route we had to wait for the Millwall fans to pass us and go to the station. They made animal noises, chucked a small stick, made fools of themselves and got the pis$ ripped out of them by fellow Pools fans.

So no fight, just a load of silly weirdos making animal noises.

We parked the car in East Finchley. Took the tube down to London Bridge, few pints, then off to the match, all trouble free.

It was the same after the match, as Daniel says we were escorted by the police all the way, there was virtually no chance of any trouble. The police, to their credit, were very well drilled, I suppose they’ve had plenty of opportunity to perfect the routine over the years.

I went in with the Millwall fans, my mates father in law is millwall fan, they were alright, but the bloke in front of me who was a big fat no-neck of about 40 years chased another Millwall fan down the stairs and was going to chin him....
