We were in first gear but we did enough to win. We didn't pressurise them as much as we could have and that gave Millwall a few chances. We could have scored more as well and had slightly more chances than them. We edged it but always seemed like we could have gone up a few gears if needs be.

Millwall lacked a bit of fair play as well. When Butdz was on the floor after being struck with a coin, Millwall did not kick the ball out and played on. Clark got the ball and kicked it and they didn’t give us it back and instead created one of their best chances of the match.

I believe Humphreys was also hit with something, the Millwall fans certainly tried to grope him.

Humphreys and Monkhouse were superb on the left and were taking the piss out of Millwall at times.

Sweeney and Liddle worked well together. Liddle has previously been looking tired but today he was full of energy as was Sweeney who took his goal very well.

The Millwall fans were quiet during the match although their hooligan element did make gestures towards us. After the match we had to wait in the police route (surrounded by a steel fence) and as the Millwall fans passed, they began making animal noises at us for some strange reason.

Overall an ok day, it will reminded me a tad of last season during our unbeaten run when we’d look comfortable and win by the odd goal without getting out of first gear (e.g. Bury, Posh, Accrington at home etc)
