The wind from a storm the night before blew a ruddy big chunk of the stand off and was still flapping about on the day of game.The ref was out inspecting the damage as we walked into the ground,but he gave the go ahead.

It was Boydy's first game back for us after his recall from Boston. He went on to score both goals as we won 2-0,he never looked back after that and the rest is history.

Mr Cooper was banished to the stand,FOR chucking a towel on the floor as he and the ref went nose to nose.

Never boring following Pools.

I was at that one PM, we got held in the pub, because their top boys were waiting for us.

When we got outside there was this group of about ten or fifteen adolescents who were going to marmalise us. So we tweaked their ears and spat down the back of their trousers 'til they ran away and then the heavens opened and we won two-nil to shouts of '10-1 to the Hartlepool.' Boyd was majestic, as will Porter and Daly be tomorrow.
