Firstly, condolences on your loss, from all right-minded Albion fans. [Like the ones who honoured your minutes silence perfectly, the ones who gave generously to a bucket collection before the game].

Having read some of your comments above, I think there's a lack of perspective in places.
Are you seriously wishing career threatening injuries on Andrew Whing for complaining to the ref when he got kicked? On some of your other threads Dean Cox is the world's biggest cheat, because Bolland got sent off for kicking him.

Most of the anger and vitriol seems reserved for Tommy Elphick, a 19 year old lad, with about 10 league games under his belt. I've no idea what Elphick did or did not say to the Bear, and neither do any of you. My guess would be that Richie had a few words to say to Elphick when he gave away the penalty, and got a little back 4 minutes later.

In the circumstances of the particular day if he said anything at all, then it was ill-judged and I'm sure if he feels he has anything to apologise for, then he will do so, at the first opportunity.

Saturday was always going to be really hard for your team, and as Danny Wilson said in the week, he had no idea how the team would react to the high emotion. Some handled it better than others. If any apologies are due, I'm sure they will be forthcoming and hopefully that will be the end of it.

God forbid that the FA goons get involved and fine you [or us] for anything that happened at the end of a difficult afternoon for all concerned.

I honestly cannot believe some of the abuse on here. Firstly abuse aimed at Brighton in general when not one of our fans made a noise during the minute's silence is out of order.

If he did say something, he was wrong but I imagine it was brought on by something said by Barker after the penalty. However, none of us have the facts so why assume the worst. If by some chance most of that is true, I would be very surprised. However, if it is then Elphick should apologise to Barker and your supporters. I understand the emotions that went into the day but what you don't seem to understand is that all the players were emotionally involved in that match. It had been a difficult game for both sides, not just your players. Elphick (if you are right) acted badly (and out of character) in the heat of the moment. Hasn't everyone done that in their lives and regretted it later.
