If you look carefully he does kick him with his right foot, it's almost blocked by the guys legs though.

To be honest from that angle (I was directly behind it), it looks worse than I first thought, there is no way they FA will rescind the card on that evidence.

Excellent link- first time I've seen a re-run from Saturday.

I'm struggling to see a kick on those clips, but I do clearly see Boland's left hand swing straight into their guy's mush.

As for their winner, the replay confirms what I thought again on Saturday- Michael Nelson is weak as piss.

He kicks him with his rigth foot at the same time as pushing him.

Talk about rose tinted glasses, we all saw the kick at the time and its there (nearly blocked out) on the video.

If there was any doubt then Wilson would be appealing instead of saying "he deserved it"

Get over it ffs.

Theres a kick there if you bother to open your eyes. Even Wilson says "he kicked out". Or do you think Wilson is just making that up??

Its one "rash action" that deserves a red card and cost us the game.

Who's being pilloried? And by whom? sctatchinghead

All I've seen is a discussion between people who've said he deserved to be sent off and people who think that what he did doesn't warrant a red card under the laws of the game.

Plus Dibble who thinks that he should have been sent off going by the rules but that seeing as though he plays for Pools then anybody who thinks it was a sending off is some kind of nancy that should prefer watching ballet to football.

Cheers for the link, first I've seen of it.

Certainly has got folk divided on the board, but for what its worth it looked like a feck awful challenge from their lad, Boland reacts and the tosser goes down like a telephone. If he kicked him, and lots of folk say he did, although how DW saw it from there defeats me, but it was hardly a Ninja style death blow, possible a tap on the shins. Letter of the law, kicked out should go, but letter of the law says you cannt swear at the ref and all players do.

Over-reaction from the ref, but there's no surprise there as the standards of reffing are terribley inconsistent in our league. But a fecking bad challenge to start it off. And I like players who play with passion, and I think Boland typifies the spirit and attitude I like to see from Pools players.

So thats Boland and now Nelson you are blaming.

Tell you what...........why dont the lot of you.....just for once.....bearing in mind what happened last week........get off our players cases?

Michael Maidens died last week.....you pack of bounders. Every one of pools players will have suffered more than any of you perfect twats will ever give them credit for.

This wasnt a normal game, on any given staurday.

You should be fookin ashamed of yourselves.

refred

I've deliberately not analysed the game in the same way that any and every other has been on here in the past because we all know that this wasn't a normal game on any given Saturday.

There's been no "marks out of 10" threads and no stating how well so and so played etc.

But then you feel the need to blow things out of all proportion and suddenly try to take the moral high ground? Who should be ashamed of themself? sctatchinghead
