He's worried about Liddle playing well. The reasoning is that by playing well he brings the attention of other clubs and we might lose him. Lets hope he goes on a run of being complete shite.

No, that's John Beresford logic. "They'll be lucky to keep onto him" says he, everytime someone plays well for a lower league club.

y'know Kev, I have this vision of Rivals were most of the posters all look like Father Jack, sitting passively till someone or somthing stirs them to a 'response'.....

Remember that sitcom where the bloke's wife has left him and he goes to this discussion group where no-one speaks, they just sit in a circle until one of them utters a banality??

You get the picture.....I can't remember the name but for a BBC sitcom it wasn't bad.

I mean Gravedisorder and Tree With Hamster if they aren't the same person seems to have a bit of a glimmer but only as far as calling everyone and everything useless or stupid. After that you start to falter a bit. Whatever happened to Superwatty?? Did someone strangle the annoying bounder??

I think it was Jeff Stelling on saturday who said Liddle was on loan from Boro. That's wrong, isn't it- I was confused for a bit there. Get your facts right Jeff !!

class act Liddle, like. once he finds a regular position he'll be even better for it.

I had a slight run in with Superwatty about some crap he was posting but he just tried to be my friend. I haven't offed him, honest. I think he got threatened because he was a chewy get.

There's a few undesirables on there. What about that guy who slags off the Bunker at every opportunity? What's up with him like?

He got banned from here a long while back for graphically banging on about kiddie diddling or something similar if my memory serves me correctly (if not that then something equally offensive).

He said that it was drunken mistake and if he was allowed back on to apologise then he would behave, so he was given a second chance and then reverted to type so was banned again.

I'm sure Dibbler remembers the reasons better than I as it was he who banned him, I missed all of the commotion as I hadn't been online.

I migrated via Vital.

Posted very little on Rivals for obvious reasons.
Got fed up reading Rivals for obvious reasons.

Found the Monkey Hangers board but that shut down a few weeks later.

Meandered over to Vital. I like Kev who runs it and there's good football talk but its got so quiet its become like a strict library where people are afraid to talk. The problem there was that they laid down groundrules which included no gossip and no non football chat. Posters were challenged if they wrote rumours. Communication was stifled.

The charge about the Bunker was that it was elitist, that newcomers didnt feel that welcome, that it was like a private club.

Not sure if that was true originally but I've never felt it. Its by far the best Pools board now and often I will only look on here if I havent got time or cant be arsed to look on other boards.

Good football debate and, like most on here, I like posting and reading wit, humour, insult and juvenile rubbish from time to time too.
Onwards and upwards (if Bunkers can do that)

I think the elitist thing is a hangover from the CFE thing and if we're being honest there was probably a bit of truth in it. This site was originally called 'The Outcasts Bunker' because some of us had been throw off the Monkey Hangers site so I guess the walls went up to some extent.

Recently it's become far more open to all which is very much for the better and whilst of course the core subject is Pools things get a bit boring when thats all you talk about. This place varies from childish hissy fits and people spouting complete and utter bollox up to some erudite and interesting debate.

As for the other boards; Rivals is a dead duck, HUFC while a busy board tends to be a lot of one word posts and less debate. Vital is a good looking site but the board as you say lacks quantity.

I still maintain that the best board there ever was was Hangems.
