So to cut a long story short with the increases in the licence fee we are going to get less "original programming" (the sort of thing the licence fee is supposed to pay for) and more shite...fair dos... Make the fookers go self financing like ITV I say!!

Yes because ITV & local radio are quality, arent they!

The BBC might makes some gash. sorry IT DOES make some gash, but it also offers a wide range of decent TV & Radio and internet services

Perhaps this latest cut in funding should make them think about quality output again, instead of giving the likes of Norton & Ross an almost free reign

 ... the BBC... a sort of University of the Air, where left of centre, Guardian reading, over confident young meeja studies students try to recreate a sort of commons room view of the world.

In their defence, I'd say that David Attenborough is worth anyone's license fee on his own.

But sadly he's cracking on a bit and I have the dread feeling that he'll be replaced by..........................Micheala Strachan........

Funding is fundamentally wrong.

i.e. if i shop in ASDA all year i do not have to pay TESCO £100, just because they have a similar service i do not use but could.

you can go to virtually any country and watch/listen to many BBC channels for free, no detector van outside your door/hut/tent dragging you off to the courts to list your name in the mail each month.....

Tell them to find their own funding, reduce the wages/contracts of wogan & co,
we all buy dvd hard drive recorders, watch everything 1hr later than broadcast, and fast forward the adverts,

technology has moved on, time for us to 2....

Poolie pride party add it to the manifesto, it's a vote winner!

The only difference at one time was the lack of adverts, sadly , if you watch the BBC now, you'll find it's full of adverts for itself.....time for their pampered lives to end....can they chop BBC Tees first?

I hate the way that anytime the BBC is caught out doing something it shouldn't there's a total refusal to accept any resposibility.

The latest one is this Yentob incident where he took a programme made by someone else about Scott Walker, cut out all references to the guy who made the programme, put bits of film of himself in and then passed it off as his own. When he gets caught out there's all this guff about they had the original guys permission, there's nothing wrong taken place and that it's normal industry practice etc.

Too right, it is normal for these media bods to be conniving and scheming for their own advantage while treating the public with total contempt. And we're forced to pay them to do so.

Bit worried about you Kev, first it's a celebration of Zyclon B and then allusion to Alan Yentob's lack of a pullover.

You'll be persecuting me next on account I was christened a left footer and you were dunked in Stranton church.
